Chapter Three ~ Break Away

"We get to stay home all day long," I say with a smile on my face as I wrapped my arm around Marie who laid in bed next to me. "you know what this means don't you?" I dragged on, I could see a smile forming on her lips as she knew what I was getting at. "We get to sleep all day long!!" I cheered, Marie cheered with me letting out a loud 'yay' as we pulled the sheet over us.

I was happy that I was able to have a free day off when Marie had hers, although it sucked that Jimmy had gotten sick, so instead of having a day off for him, he had to stay in bed for as long as it took for him to get better.

Marie and I were going to visit him to see if there was anything she and I could do for him, but for now, we were going to stay in bed. I gave her a kiss on the back of her neck then cuddled closely to her.

The guys and I had decided to take a short break; I was sure that Brian was the only one who was still trying to do as many solos as possible before coming in tomorrow. What an idiot. I thought to myself as I nuzzled close to her. My stomach growled, making Marie giggle.

"I knew we weren't going to stay in bed all day long," she laughed. "I'll go fix myself something to eat, then I'll come back, I know how you don't like it when I eat in bed and leave crumbs." I laughed as I threw the sheet off of me and left the bedroom, heading down stairs.

Marie's Point of View

I smile to myself as I lay there in silence, staring up at the white ceiling; I couldn't be happier, I was with the man that I loved, and nothing could ever take away this feeling. Everything was just so perfect; spending the entire day with the person you loved more than anything. I couldn't ask for more.

I sit up and look around the room, staring out each window before I grabbed my phone which sat on my nightstand. I checked it to see what time the time was, to my surprise it was only 9AM.

I pushes the sheets and blanket off of my body, setting my feet down on the soft white rug, I stood up and left the bedroom heading down the stairs to see Matt in the kitchen eating some fruit as he made himself a sandwich.

I let out a huff and cross my arms over my chest. "How is it possible that you eat that much and still look so good?" I questioned, gaining his attention, he let out a chuckle.

"I'm magic, baby!" I laughed and rolled my eyes walking over to the counter and taking a bite out of his sandwich. "Hey!" He shouted in protest. I giggled and rolled my eyes. "Do you want me to make you something to eat too?"

"No, I don't want a sandwich, I want something sweet." I say wrapping my arms around his waist from behind, I rested my head on his back listening to his heartbeating and his breathing mix together.

"Me?" he chuckles.

"I was going to say Nutella," I giggled. "you think that later we should go and see how Jimmy is doing?"

"I was going to suggest that we do that later after eating and doing...other stuff..." he hinted, I smirked and bit my bottom lip. I pulled away, giving him a gentle smack on the ass before I left the kitchen.

I walked into the living room to see Bella laying down on the couch sound asleep. I smile to myself; the house was completely quiet, it was kind of weird to have a day without it being noisy--sometimes I'd complain about how noisy it was, but whenever it was quiet, I'd get upset it was too quiet.

I was sure that everyone else was taking advantage of their day off and were happy, we were all probably going to see each other later on today.

I gaze happily at the photo of Matt and I on our wedding day; it was the happiest day of my life when I said yes to him. He was the love of my life, and I knew that I was his.
