One more stop to make

I just laid there with my eyes wide open, amazed by what just happened.

"Well, if I'd known that, I would've stayed in Philadelphia," I joked, making him laugh.

It was perfect in every way. The way he touched me, the way we moved together, the way I felt so safe in his arms. And it felt like the perfect way to say goodbye.

"What time does your flight leave?"

"9 a.m."

I looked at him to see what he was thinking. So many emotions were hidden in those dark mysterious eyes. They were full of sadness, regret and guilt. But all of those emotions were overruled by love. He looked at me with eyes so full of love that I expected my heart to explode. I could've died then and there. Happy in his arms.

But it was time to go. So I picked up my clothes off the floor, put them on and cast one last look over my shoulder before I opened the door and left.

On my way home I saw Luke make his way over to the diner. We didn't say a word to each other and just looked at each other meaningfully. Both knowing what happened.

At home I packed my last things.

"We have one more stop to make," my mom said when we were about to leave for the airport.

We stopped at Luke's.
