KIVARIELLE YUIE LEDEZMA
"Wow you are so pretty."
I raised my eyebrow as I looked at the girl who suddenly stood mesmerized in front of me.
"Excuse me?"
Compliment or not, that's a very weird approach.
Siya ata yung nakabunggo sakin kanina nung bumili ako.
I didn't notice her follow me.
What's her name again? Irish? Parang yun ang narinig ko kanina eh. Ewan.
"Oh I'm sorry, did I surprise you?" Tanong niya.
"A bit. You're weird, and you're distracting me. I'm eating, don't you see?" I rolled my eyes and continued eating.
What now? Do I look like a clown?
"Are you alone?"
I don't want to waste my time speaking to someone I don't even know.
"Anyway my name is Irene--"
I cutted her words and immediately spoke. "I don't care."
She chuckled and sat in front of me without my permission. "You're feisty huh?"
The way she looks at me right now is making me lose my appetite.
"No, I'm just being honest."
I may seem rude but it's the truth. Irish or Irene, whatever her name is. I don't care. She was about to say something when another girl approached us. Two girls to be exact.
"Rene!
"Ikaw yung writer?! Kiva, right? Omg hi! You're so very pretty pala sa personal. Now lang kita nakita eh, though very kalat na sa campus yung name mo." Sabi nung isa. Also a bit conyo. She looks beautiful with her short hair.
"She understands noh." Binaling niya naman agad ang tingin sakin. "Right?"
"Yeah I understand. Pero teka, kalat sa campus? What do you mean?" Takang tanong ko.
I don't want to be shady since she seemed to really adore me. Besides, she didn't do anything wrong.
"Yeah! Didn't you know? You're known all over the campus! The so called 'Famous Goddess Writer of Riverside College'. At hindi nga sila nag e-exaggerate. You're so gorgeous nga! Right Helli?"
"Is she okay?" Mahinang tanong ko.
Natawa lang ang dalawa at tumango. "Don't worry, she's fine. Na starstruck lang ata. Mukha ka kasing model." Sagot ni Irene.
