"Bokuto-san, no."
"But Akaashiiiiiiiii." He deflated.
I looked between the two, confused and silently observing. "What's wrong, Akaashi?"
Akaashi looked at me. "Bokuto-san is trying to set up something with a few of our Nekoma friends this weekend. And he wants to bring you along to meet Kuroo and Kenma."
"She should! If we need another person, Yaku will probably come!" Bokuto pouted.
I looked from one to the other. "I suppose I could meet up for a bit this weekend. I'll just have to check my schedule so we can hangout while I'm not at work."
"You work?" Bokuto leaned closer to me.
I nodded, not wanting to go into further detail.
Akaashi sighed. "Fine. But if she has one panic attack, I'm taking her home."
"Deal!" Bokuto beamed.
I sighed, knowing exactly what I had gotten myself into.
"This is L/n Y/n! She's in Akaashi's class and they became friends recently. She actually transferred to our school from Nohebi!"
A tall guy with rooster-like black hair smirked while looking directly at me. "Smart. She got away from those snakes."
Bokuto looked at me and gestured to the guy. "This is Kuroo. And the short boy with the blonde ends is Kenma. They're friends from Nekoma."
Akaashi stayed close to me. "Kuroo's a third year like Bokuto and Kenma's a second year like us."
"Ok." I whispered.
Within this hangout, Bokuto and Kuroo paired up and seemed to disappear every five seconds. Kenma stayed close to me and Akaashi, remaining silent. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence, just silence.
Kenma looked up at me. "Sorry about Kuroo. When he's with Bokuto, they both get even more chaotic than usual."
"It's fine." I mumbled, staring at the ground.
Akaashi put a hand on my shoulder. "You ok?"
I shrugged. To be fair, this is much out of my comfort zone. But... I wanted to try to be friends with their friends. So here I am I guess.
He leaned to whisper in my ear. "Do you want to go home?"
"Kinda. I'm also kinda hungry."
Akaashi nodded, turning to Kenma. "Kenma, do you wanna get some food while Kuroo-san and Bokuto-san keep running around?"
Kenma nodded slightly. "Sure."
"I know a good cafe nearby." I mumbled.
Akaashi's eyes widened. "Really?"
I nodded.
"Ok, then let's go."
Of course I took them to the cafe I work at. It was nearby and I liked the food they served there. It's also quiet with a cozy atmosphere. I felt it was an ideal place to go for quieter people.
"Y/n? I thought you were off!" Mina, my coworker saw me and walked over with a smile on her face.
I nodded, trying to refrain from making eye contact. "I am. I'm just a customer for now."
"Ok!" Mina saw the boys behind me. "Oh? Who're you're friends?"
Akaashi stood next to me and decided to introduce himself and Kenma. "I'm Akaashi Keiji, a friend and classmate of Y/n's. This is my friend Kenma, he goes to a different school."
