Rose awoke to a loud knock on her bedroom door. Robin yelled out," Rose time to get up! We have things to do today like getting your school supplies and gym outfit." Rose gets out of bed not remembering when she did go to bed last night. The feeling of being watched crept over her again so she hurries to the bathroom to do her morning routine. Once back into the bedroom with clean cloths on Rose braids her hair and rush down to the dinning room to have her breakfast. As she sits down Robin comes in and place a plate of eggs, bacon, and hash browns down in front of her and then asks," Would you like milk , oj, or coffee with breakfast?"
Rose thinking about it replies," I think I will go with oj today thank you." She then digs into breakfast while pondering about what all she has to do today. As she finishes her meal Robin ask," Rose dear where are your car keys?"
Rose thinks for a moment and replies," I think they are in my purse . Why?" She reaches her purse that is sitting on a chair next to her searching for her keys." Hear they are." as she pulls them out. Robin comes over and snaches the keys away and states," I will drive since you just moved here plus it helps get things done quicker."
Rose feeling a little confused but let it be shrugs her shoulders and procced to gather herself together to head out the door with Robin right behind her. The drive to the mall was a silent one as Rose felt no need to talk. Her mind was on what she needed to do for the coming days.
At the mall just walking around looking at the things Rose still feels that she is being watched. Is it the same person or is it some one else? Not feeling comfortable with this Rose speaks up to Robin, " Robin?"
" Yes Rose?" he replies.
" I feel like some one is watching us. I don't mean just here in the mall but at home also." Rose says feeling scared a bit.
"How strong is your feeling?" asked Robin as he scans the people surrounding them.
" It feels like one person both places, however I don't know if it the same person." Rose responds.
" If you ever feel like this again tell me or the sheriff immediately." says Robin.
"Why?" Rose asked feeling a little panic about what they are talking about.
" Your aunt did not die of naturally and neither did your parents." States Robin.
" Are you saying I am a target right now?" Rose ask becoming more and more panic.
"Yes in a way yes, however I and the others are here to protect you" Robin states to calm Rose down some.
" How much am I in danger? Is it a lot or just a little?" asked Rose still trying to grasp the situation that she is in.
" Not enough to get you out of going to school young lady." Robin says.
"okay" Rose says as she walks back to her truck to head home.
They leave the mall for home however they are fallowed by a shadowy figure. As the form grew closer to Rose home it ran into a barrio. The form pressed on the barrio but it would not give. So the form disappeared.
The Next Day at School
Rose rushed out of her home bag on her shoulder, everything she needed for the day already placed in it. As Rose parks in the school parking lot she sees the other students. She looked at the little clicks though she saw three guys, they looked almost a like but their looks are different styles. All of a sudden someone taps Rose on the shoulder scaring her and bring her back to the moment. Rose turns and sees a beautiful black woman next to a blondie bomb shell. The black girl says," Hi you must be new. I am River Pond and this is my friend Clover."
" Hi I am Rose Water." says Rose as they start to walk slowly away from the parking lot.
Clover asks," Really your family named you Rose Water?"
"Yep." responds Rose.
" Wow your named after a French perfume." states Clover, " Any ways just letting you know there are several clicks here at school."
" Yea we got your Jocks and sports guys, but they're broken into two or three clicks." states River.
" Really? Sub clicks? In this high school?" asked Rose.
" No like levels. Really buff to just muscular." says River.
" Really I would of thought it would be by popularity then how much muscles you have." ponders Rose.
" Oh Now that is the goth and nerds and they have different clicks depending on what your into." states Clover.
Rose sighs and says "I just want to graduate."
Clove and River says at the same time," Don't we all" They all giggled.
" Any ways where is the office I have to pick up my stuff for class there." States Rose.
River tells her," This way."
So Clove and River guide Rose to the front office. Mean while three brothers come together in front of the school.
Brother 1" Did you guys see the new girl?'
Brother 2 " No but I smelt her. She has a addictive smell."
Brother 3" Yes her smell makes me want to bite her."
Brother 1"Could she be our one?" he asked hopefully.
Brother 2 " Only way to know for sure is to get her alone."
Brother 3" That might prove to be hard."
Brother 2" Why?"
Brother 3" She is new and from the whispers I hear she is living with Puck."
Brother 1" That trouble maker, I thought the local goddess had him on a leash."
Brother3" I heard she passed with out an heir."
Brother 1 & 2 " Oh shit!"
