Breakdown X Reader

You walked down the street fuming. Your eyebrows were mushed together in an angry frown while your hands opened and closed. You were glad no one tried to bother you, you probably would have punched their face in. All this over a video game. A fucking video game! You and you're brother had been playing a first-person shooter game when you had to pause it. You had to do the dishes before your dad got home so you got up to do them. You knew the pause screen was different for each player, player one has the option to end the game while player two couldn't. You had been player two so the screen didn't give you the option to end the game. Plus you didn't have the powerups that gave you little icons, your brother did. When you got back from doing the dishes you saw the screen had changed. Player one had paused the game. You had figured he ended the game and started his own game while waiting for you. That part you didn't care about.

You ended the game and went to change it back to two player. Just as the new game loaded in, your brother came out of the bathroom. He stopped in place and saw the new game. "WHAT THE FUCK Y/N?!"

You just about jumped out of your skin, the controller flying from your hands. You looked at him in pure confusion. "What the fuck what man? I put it back on two player," you quickly defended. He was fuming, stopped his way back to his spot on the couch, cussing you out the whole time. "Why the hell did you restart the game?! Level fucking 20 and you just ended the game!"

You were taken aback. "I thought you had changed it to single player while I did the dishes. It was paused by first player. I-"

"It unpaused itself so I paused it again!" He cut you off. You didn't understand why he was so mad. The two of you have gotten farther than level 20 so it wasn't that big of deal. Not enough to start screaming at you about it.

You huffed and set the controller down. Shooting a glare at the teen boy you walk over and slip your shoes on. "What the fuck ever man. Simple mistake. I'm goin on a walk. See ya later." And with that you shut the door, trying not to slam it. After you got to the corner of your street, you pulled out your phone. You scrolled through your contacts before clicking on one, the phone began ringing. The phone rang twice before picking up. You smiled when you heard the gruff masculine voice answer. "Hey doll, your on speaker. Knockouts here too."

"Hey Princess!"

"Oh perfect. I ain't having the best night. Either of y'all down for some late night street racing? I need this week's therapy session," you added the last bit with a chuckle. As Breakdown sighed, you could feel him shaking his helm while Knockout laughed with you. "I don't know about you, but I'm always down for a race. Especially with our dearest Y/n."

Another sigh from Breakdown and you got your answer, "Alright, let us tell Lord Megatron we're going out with you and we'll be right there. Where are we picking you up from? House or playground?"

"Tell Lord Buckethead I said hey and playground. I'll be waiting." Being truthfully honest Megatron probably trusted you more than he did the two mechs but he knew that minimal collateral damage would occur if they were with you. The playground that breakdown was talking about was really an elementary school playground that you went to. It was only 5 minutes from your own house so that was your place to go.

After about 10 minutes waiting, two vehicles pulled into the parking lot next to the swings you are on. You immediately recognize the shiny red paint of the first car and the scratched up blue paint of the other. Both driver doors opened and two men stepped out of their vehicles. You hopped off the swings and made a beeline to the larger-built man who was waiting with his arms open. You just about jumped into his waiting arms, throwing your arms around his neck and hugging him tightly.

"So what did Megatron say?" You loosened your grip while Knockout walked up to ruffle your hair. Breakdown shrugged while you swatted at the prima Donnas hand. "To have you home by midnight."

You rolled your eyes but couldn't help but smile. "He's such a dad." Both men chuckled at that. Breakdown lifted you up on his back in a piggyback ride before walking back to his vehicle form. "Well, he's gotten attached to you, dearest. Like the sparkling he never had. Why do you think everyone calls you princess?" Knockout stated matter of factly while standing with his door open. You just gave him a shrug before he ducked into his driver seat. His holoform fizzled out just as the door closed. Breakdown let you down and held the passenger door open for you. You buckled in as he sat down, keeping his holoform up. He reached for your hand with one while grabbing the steering wheel with the other. You grinned up at him, "So, who's ready for a race?"
