The battle had stopped as if frozen in time. No one moved. Both factions looked at the Bot they were previously trying to end. Optimus stood still, his old friend kneeling in the dirt hunched over. It was friendly fire, a missed shot. She shouldn't have even been on the field. Unfortunately, she was. His human, once a pet but soon became a companion, lay in his open palm. Her side was coated in blood mixed with dirt. Tears stained her face as she tried to show she wasn't in pain. She even smiled up at him. For the first time in a million years, the war lord's breath hitched as tears fell down his faceplates. "No... Y/n. Why? Why did you have to follow?"

A sharp talon carefully caressed her face, his servo shaking terribly. She let out a strained chuckle and leaned into his touch. "N-now what *cough* what would be f-fun in ju-just... staying?" Blood trickled down her chin from the corner of her mouth. He needed to hold her closer, hold her tighter. He quickly but gently set her on the ground before transforming. Before his alt could even finish settling, his holo form was rushing to her side. He fell to his knees and pulled her into his lap. As he put pressure on her wound he looked up. His voice booming, "Where is Knockout?! Prime, your medic?!" He looked at his name with pleading eyes. Optimus nodded and turned to call for Ratchet. Within seconds the shiny red doctor was in his holo form and at the girl's side, tears threatening to spill. "Primus, Y/n," He spat out in worry as he pulled the human medical kit to his side. "When I said make your life more interesting, this isn't what I meant."

The human girl chuckled again, coughing up more blood. Ratchet soon appeared, holoform also active, and dropped to his knees. All three men pressed down on the wound. "We need to get it to stop bleeding. Once it's stopped we can get her to a human hospital. Or at the very least, get her to June." Y/n's gaze floated to the Autobot medic, she let her hand fall on his catching his attention. "Hello, Ratchet. It's nice to finally meet you in person." The older doctor looked up at her face, seeing a sincere yet pained smile. He offed a smile to match and nodded his head. "the pleasure is mine, although I do wish we got to meet under better circumstances." Y/n smiled while closing her eyes and patting his hand. "I feel this is our last meeting." Megatron's head snapped towards hers, "What? No, Y/n, don't you dare give up. Not yet." He moved his hands to cup her face, her blood from his hands smudging her pale skin. He pressed his forehead against hers. "Please, you cannot leave me. I love you, you foolish woman. Just hold on a little longer."

Y/n, as well as the two medics, knew there wasn't much left. The blood wasn't stopping. She used what little strength she had left to cup his cheek, his hand immediately grabbing hers, and she slowed her breathing. "I'll never be gone, Buckethead. I'll always be with you." Ratchet and Knockout moved their hands, sitting back in their legs. "I love you too. I always will, no matter what lifetime. I love you to the moon and back."

"And around the world twice," Megatron finished for her. He pressed a kiss to her forehead, cradling her head close to his chest. Sobs racked the man's body as he felt her go limp. Ratchet stood and turned away, a few tears surprising him. Knockout let out sobs, not bothering to quiet them. He took her hand and held it to his chest. The whole Decepticon army dropped to their knee plates. Optimus walked up behind Megatron and kneeled. Megatron carefully lifted Y/n and set her into the arms of Knockout. The red medic cradled her body close as his lord's holoform fizzled out. The mech transformed and stood tall. He called out for his vehicons to gather. His optics glowed a dangerous red as he glared every con down. "Who's blast?" He growled lowly. The shooter was shoved to the front, standing on shaky stabilizers. Without a blink of hesitation, The ex-gladiator shot the vehicon down where he stood, the others flinching in fear. Without another word, Megatron stomped over to the mech and slammed his pede down in the open chest wound.

Once the con stopped groaning in pain, Megatron walked over to the body of his human lover, gently took her body, and transformed before flying away. He remembered how she would talk about a hill over water, how she wanted to be buried under the big oak tree when she passed. He knew where he was heading. And he wouldn't be back for a long time.
