Elk walks outside, looking around at the village as other centaurs roam around. He takes a deep breath of the fresh air, smiling, "It feels good being back home." He looks around more before being tackled by someone and he looks at who it was, seeing Divoky laughing, "I got you!" Elk laughs, "Oh, you're way too big to be tackling me like that. I'm getting old kiddo. You can already tell." He holds some of his hair, showing Divoky that he was having some grey streaks and the young hybrid's ears fold back, "I know dad. Mom's getting those too. But I want to make every moment with you guys the best." He hugs Elk tight, and he smiles at his son, "Hey now, don't cry. I'm not dying. Not again. I'm just getting old... 10 years is a long time."
Divoky nods, "I know. And it was a long time... But I really am happy you're back." They get back on their hooves, and dust each other off. Elk ruffles Divoky's hair, making him laugh, "Daad!" He gently pushes his dad's shoulder, and he walks to the cottage, and Elk looks around, and thought he saw movement in the distance, and he stares. Elk looks, feeling paranoid, "I... I thought..." He shakes his head, walking away to the cottage, not thinking anything of it. He gets inside, seeing Adalie back on her hooves and he wraps his arms around her, kissing her cheek. Adalie giggles, feeling him smothering her with love and she nuzzles him, gently wrapping one arm around his neck, and kisses his nose. She turns to face him and he gently picks her up to his eye level, smiling at her, "You're still as beautiful as the day you lost me..." She hugs him gently, tears in her eyes, "It broke my heart... watching you die..." He kisses her forehead gently, holding her.
Elk runs his fingers through Adalie's hair, and he looks up to see eyes staring at them through the window, and he stares back, shakig a little. Adalie looks at him, "Elk, what's wrong?" She looks at the window, seeing nothing, and she touches his cheek, "Are you okay?" He shakes his head, "Yeah just... maybe I'm just tired and it's making me see things." She smiles and takes him to the room, and they lay down, and Elk lifts his head, and he lays down on Adalie's shoulder, then the eyes appear again and watch.
They stare for a while, and a small blade was held in their hand, "Good to see you back once again Nowhere King. Celebrate while you can... but soon, I will take my chance and make your children become who you were before." The figure flies off, and Elk sits up, panting, looking around. Adalie looks at him, "How fast did you fall asleep? We just laid down." Elk shakes, "I... I have a feeling that someone is watching us..." She hugs him, "What's going on? Are you still worried Keres is going to do something to the kids?..." He nods, covering his face, "I feel like she's going to do something... like... like split them.... I saw it in her eyes when she showed them the key before she killed me... She had those intentions."
She lays him down, comforting him, "Without her sword, Keres has nothing against us..." He rests his head on hers, and holds her hand, "I... I'm just scared. I don't want the kids to go through what I went through...." Adalie makes him look at her, "Remember the promise? We wouldn't let anything bad happen to the kids." Elk smiles, nodding, "Yeah." He hugs her, and the door opens, the twins walking inside and Elk sighs happily, starting to calm down and be less afraid.
