It was very late and everyone was trying to sleep, but there was so much stress and worry, everyone was too restless. Elk paces back and forth and he looks at the Woman, "How do we get the key back to normal? Keres used my blood and now we don't know if there's a way to reverse it." Adalie searches on her bookshelf and the Woman tries to keep Elk calm, and Adalie pulls out a book, flipping through the pages, "Aha! I think I know how." She shows them and it shows the key, "If the person who casted the spell uses the magic but with their own blood to set the cursed free, the key will be released as well and usable again." Elk takes the book, looking at it, "So Keres has to use her blood instead and set the twins free?... That's gonna be hard to do, that centaur has a heart of stone." "Elk, something happened that we don't know and you don't remember caused her to hold this grudge against you for so long, that caused her heart to harden, we just have to find out what so we can see what we can do."
Outside, Divoky and Aldara's human halves stay with the two headed creature and there was an echo of a melody heard that put them in some type of trance. They stand up and follow it as a black smoke rises in the distance, and they walk towards it. Horse and her herd were inside the cottage as well, and Adalie tells them about the book and they all try to come up with a plan and Glendale watches the twins from the window, and looks at Elk, "Hey Elk? You know your kids that are split and one side is that goopy monster that you used to be years ago?" Elk looks at her and she points at the window, "Well, they gone." Everyone freezes and rush outside, the melody now echoing louder and Elk runs to the twins, "DIVOKY! ALDARA!" He gets near to them, reaching out but they disappear in the smoke and he falls to the ground. He punches the grass in anger and Adalie runs to him. Horse looks as the cloud fades, "Where did they go? What just happened?"
Everyone looks around and Adalie gets up, "Keres... she must've teleported them somewhere. Griffontaurs use places that they know and what their prey know when it comes to war, but they never use the same location twice because they fear it will become predictable." Rider crosses her arms, "So what's a place that we all know that Keres knows?..." "The battlefield of the first war..." Elk gets up, turning to them, "Where everyone battled the minotaurs and I was defeated... she said she fought there, but if she was in my army, why is she doing this? That place must have something..." Horse steps forward, "I might be able to use my magic again if she's unaware, I can find out the truth and then we'll know why and what she was talking about." Elk nods and the Woman mounts onto Becky Apples, "Then what are we waiting for? Who knows what she's doing to them now after the damage she caused already."
The herd sets out for the battlefield, Elk walking behind and Adalie joins him, holding the book, "Honey?..." She watches as he stayed silent, and she could see the anger in his eyes and the way his face looked. Adalie worried and she reaches for his cheek and he takes her hand, "I need to know why... I can't let her cross anymore lines. She has gone too far...." He looks at Adalie, holding her hand and he caresses her hair, "It's time to get our kids back and end this pain...and find out the truth." They catch up as they continue forward to look for the twins at the battlefield, where the first war had begun and ended.
