Chapter 14: Mind Control

It was morning once they got to their destination and the red sky was all they could see over the battlefield. There were old weapons and helmets that were now half buried and covered in rust or moss, and some skeletons of minotaurs and other bodies and Elk walks to the cliff where he was put to rest and everyone looks around. Rider gets her weapon ready, "Where are they?.." Elk looks down the cliff and there was a soft growl and he sees two pairs of glowing dots and the two headed creature flies from the cliff, looking at Elk and it meets with him face to face. He looks up at them, and reaches to touch them when Keres speaks, "Didn't think you'd all show." She steps towards, her arms and legs now covered in the same ooze as the twins and she growls. 

Elk looks at her, "Why are we here Keres? What do you want?" She looks at the creature and it flies to her and she smiles, and Elk growls, "What else have you done to my kids?" He looks behind her to see Divoky and Aldara's human halves walking to them, and they were wearing armor and when they lifted their heads, their eyes were glowing like the creature's. Keres chuckles and she lifts the sword and they do the same and the Woman gasps, "She's controlling them..." Wammawink looks at her, "What? How?" "When Aldara's human half shot her with the key, it corrupted her as well, and blood magic can also give the one who casted it first can control the one affected with their mind. Making them do what they want them to do."

Elk growls at Keres and he looks at the key, getting an idea. Keres smiles, holding the sword, "How about one last battle, Nowhere King? With your own heirs eh?" Elk walks forward, "Not a fair fight like this." He looks at the Woman, and she looks at him with shock, "You can't be serious..." He nods, "Do it.." Keres chuckles and stabs the sword in the ground, and the creature roars and flies towards him, the human halves following and Elk runs toward them as well. The Woman turns the staff back to its key form and closes her eyes as she shoots the beam at Elk, causing the twins to nearly fall onto the ground. There was a large black smoke and a low growl and the Nowhere King emerges, flying towards the two headed creature and it roars and the General, now looking undead, grips his sword and runs toward the twins.

Keres growls, swinging the sword and the twins attack. The monsters lock antlers and swords clang together. The herd watches and Ched looks behind them, "Guys, we got company." The minotaurs, led by Hadeon and Adron run towards them and Rider gets her sword, "We can take them!" They all get their powers ready and run to battle the minotaurs while the halves fight. The General clashes his sword with Divoky, and Aldara tries a sneak attack, but he dodges, getting out the way and knocks her sword out her hand. Keres growls, "GO GET IT!" Aldara runs to her sword while Divoky swings at the General, and runs back. Keres growls watching the battle and Horse sees her chance, "Right, let's do this." She begins running towards her, avoiding obstacles and Keres notices and smiles, "Come on then." She stabs the sword into the ground, keeping the mind control magic alive and opens her arms towards Horse.

Horse runs faster, getting past the twins and the General sees her, "Wait, what are you-" "Using my magic to find out the truth! Don't hurt the twins, you can't lose them again!" She makes a leap of faith and disappears into Keres, making the griffontaur paralyzed in place and she lands into another field, coughing, and she watches as minotaurs run into another battle and she looks, recognizing her location, "Keres's home?... It was invaded?.." She looks around as griffontaurs were battling the minotaurs and she runs around, trying to find what she way looking for.
