Chapter One- "City of Love"

Chapter One Theme Song: Twisted - Two Feet

Basira St'Clair | First POV
Location: Paris, France

Both of my hands rested on top of my hips as I walked around the small hotel room. There was no doubt that a intentional scowl was probably on my face right now. The smooth ceiling had a leaking crack in it which was putting a large wet damp spot in the stale carpet floor. The bathroom had mold sitting in the corner by the toilet.

This was suppose to be a luxury five star hotel room but right now it looked like I was standing in a ranky motel six. It was early in the morning almost eight am the sun was up and bright. Me and Avery had just made it from the airport to the hotel only a whole ten minutes ago and hadn't even sat to rest yet. My poor little body ached from being seated in a uncomfortable plane seat for seven hours straight with no stops. All I wanted to do was take a nice hot steaming shower and get a little nap in before we went sight seeing today.

I sighed running my hands through my hair as I turned my attention to my best friend. She had one job just one little job.

"You're kidding me right Ava?" I ask her with a raise eyebrow.

She only groaned throwing her head back "When I booked it online I thought I clicked on the Junior suite" Avery replied pulling out her for phone.

Probably to see if she really picked the right suite.

I only nodded my head not fully believing her; she liked to multitask a lot and was the type of person to get easily distracted. I was in charge of booking both of our round trip plane tickets and she was in charge of booking the hotel suite. I knew I should have did both but she had begged me to let her choose the hotel room because she needed a nice view to film from for her YouTube channel.

So much for a 'window view' this room didn't even have a window it was just one small square box. The two twin size beds sat on the right and left hand side. The beds both reached up to my knee and were only about four inches a part from each other. A small brown two drawer dresser sat in between the two beds with a clock and landline sitting on top of it.

I brought my black converse shoe up to kick the side of the bed. My eyes watched as the twin bed rattled and each of the tiny dust particles sitting on top of it flew up into the air; even without sunlight you could see them floating around.

"No-no we're getting a new room right now!" I told her shaking my head. I went grab the room key card off the table and left out the door in a rush.

"I didn't fuck this up! I swear I clicked on a Junior suite see" Avery pleaded her case as we got on to the elevator.

I looked at her phone scrolling through the email from the hotel and she indeed had booked a Junior suite. I don't know what happened but they must of mistakenly gave us a regular standard suite
