Ava had an idea.
She was going to ask Scott what the guy's name was.
Who's Scott, you ask?
He was the guy working the roller coaster, aka the ride Ava first saw "HIM" at.
How did they know his name?
His name tag of course.
Ava had to think about this a lot. She really wanted to figure out this guy's name. What if something bad happened? The results were unpredictable. All she could do was work up the courage and ask.
But she couldn't just blatantly ask him. She had to find some sort of way to ask without being downright weird.
Emmy and Ava devised a plan.
Ava would walk up and tell Scott that EMMY wanted to know his name. Except she would make it really obvious that it clearly was her that wanted to know his name and not Emmy. That was the only thing Ava was willing to do.
But being the procrastinator she was, she insisted that they go on the roller coaster at least like five more times.
Eventually, she worked up the courage after a couple more rides and decided to do it.
They walked over to the roller coaster. Nobody was there except for Scott and a couple kids going on the mini ferris wheel.
They walked up to Scott and Ava spoke.
"We have a question for you." She said,
Scott didn't say anything. He just looked at them.
"So, my FRIEND here wants to know this. SHE wants to know. NOT ME. SHE DOES. TOTALLY JUST HER."
He gave them a puzzled glance.
"You know the guy who was here earlier? Black pants, black shirt, dark hair...what was his name?"
"Why?" Was all Scott said with a smirk.
"Because MY FRIEND wants to know. SHE wants to know." Ava couldn't help but nervously smile.
"This is embarrassing for you." Emmy muttered.
"I don't know his name. He does parties and stuff. I think his name was like, Matt or something. He doesn't work the rides. I don't pay attention to those people." He replied.
"Oh okay thanks!" She grabbed Emmy and ran.
What a crappy answer.
Scott was totally bullshitting them. He had to have known his name! He was working near him! He just didn't wanna tell a couple of teens some guy's name.
Matt.
Matt?
That could be his name.
But what if it was something else? Something completely different?
She had to know!
She was going to find out.
No matter what.
