It was time to leave.
She didn't want to.
She did not want to leave.
She had to see him one more time before they left! She had to!
As they walked to the front to exit the building, Ava ran back into the restaurant. She had to see him one more time, and the only other place he could be in was there.
But he wasn't.
I mean, he could've been. But they were too lazy to look.
So that was the end.
Not forever of course.
They were obviously going to go back.
But it was still hard to walk out of there...
The door opened, and she was back outside.
Back outside..........
Now she was hundreds of feet away from him...
Not just a few inches.
Not anymore.
When would she ever see him again?
They got in the car. She was on the verge of tears. Tears of despair and grief and sadness and all things horrible in this life.
But she had an amazing time.
She sadly ate starbursts with Emmy.
Her eyes lit up once Emmy's mom suggested they go back over spring break.
There was hope.
She would see him again.
