Back at the New Jedi Temple, Keela stormed in circles around the Council room. Joake, Luke, Crese, and Lando sat nearby, worried. "Keela, that's your fiftieth circle," Joake pointed out. Keela clenched her hand into a fist and a nearby lamp shattered. "How could she do it?" she shouted. "My own mother! Turn me over to that monster!"

"Keela, calm down," Luke said. "Your anger is getting out of control."

"My anger?" Keela shouted. "I don't think you realize what she did to me! She condemned me to a life of torture and misery!"

"Maybe it wasn't her," Joake said softly.

"No, it was her," Keela replied. "I can feel it. Anakin said that something dark is coming and this is it. I need to find her. I need to take my vengeance."

"Keela," Luke said again. "Revenge is the way of a sith."

"There is a difference between revenge and righteous justice." Keela's voice softened a little. "Nobody knows what I went through. Sixteen years serving as Palpatine's slave, not knowing any other life. Day after day I was ruthlessly taunted and beaten by him. I cowered before him in absolute terror and fear. I did horrible things as a result of that fear. Things that still haunt me. Things that can never be forgiven." Keela clenched her fists again. "All because of her!" she shouted. "No one will stop me from finding her and taking my vengeance." Keela stormed out of the room.

Keela entered her chambers and flopped down on the bed. Even now, she still could not get used to having a soft bed; something she never had before. "I will make her suffer as I suffered," she promised to herself. "She will rue the day she sent me away." In the corner of the room, the shadow of Darth Rogue stood and watched as his plan was set into action.
