The next morning I lay on my back scrolling through tiktok while Ryder is sleeping next to me, arm draped across my stomach and his face nuzzled into my shoulder, his breath fanning over my skin.
Last night we made spaghetti and meatballs and then ended up just cuddling in bed watching The Vampire Diaries until we fell asleep.
I come across a tiktok I really want to do with him so I shimmy down so I'm face to face with him, the tip of my nose merely grazing his. Getting the camera fixed how I want, I get in position and start recording.
"Bitches come and go bruh.." I opened my eyes to see Ryder staring back at me, making us both giggle as we continued to sing "but you know I stay" Then our lips met in a shirt kiss as I finished the recording.
"Busted" he murmured.
"Eh, you participating made it even better" I said matter of factly while finishing the video with a caption that said 'mein herz' with a bunch of different hearts because I'm a sap like that, before posting the video.
"What's that mean?" Ry questioned.
"Uh...it's something I heard my grandpa call my grandma and I thought it was cute. It means like my heart, my soul mate, my sweetheart in German" I blushed.
"Aww Matthew" he swooned, kissing my nose and I couldn't help the cheesy grin on my face.
I reached behind me, blindly setting my phone down on the nightstand so I could wrap my arm around Ry. Snuggling us close together.
"Good morning"I softly said with our noses together again. He lets out a huff of a laugh with a small smile.
"Good morning, mon amour" he pecks my lips "So, now I can ask.....how was your trip? Did you have fun? Did you buy everything you wanted?"
"Slow your roll" I chuckled. "It was great and we had fun, though it would've been better if you were there" I told him, lightly rubbing my nose in an Eskimo kiss on his.
"Did you miss me?" He teased with a smirk and I blushed a little.
"Maybe" I muttered, dancing my fingers along his spine.
"I missed you too" The butterflies that always seem to appear, whooshed in my tummy, making me feel giddy inside.
"So did you buy everything you wanted, my sunflower?"
"Erm...sort of"
"What do you mean, sort of? I told you if you needed anything to let me know" he frowned.
"As much as I love that you want to do that for me, I'm not with you for you to throw money at me like a sugar daddy" I told him, making a full bellied laugh erupt from his mouth.
"I wouldn't mind that with you" he winked and I rolled my eyes and he continued to talk "I know you aren't with me for the money, Matthew" he said looking me in the eyes "But I love you and I want to make you happy, so if helping you buy what your heart desires,makes you happy. There are no complaints here" he made sure to emphasize helping, which made me feel a little better.
I sighed in defeat, now tracing the beautiful artwork on his back "There was a tattoo I wanted to get but it would have costed too much to get"
"What do you want to get?" He asked
"Don't laugh" I said pointedly..
"Wouldn't dream of it" he simply replied.
"I want to get a wand with a snake wrapping around it and like splotches of green" I told him while pointing on my left inner forearm.
