Mercy

Finding myself in a car with Harry or even immediately alone in a confined space with him, was never in my agenda. The ride has mostly been quiet and as I suspected, a small amount awkward because well, I was awkward by default and besides earlier and at school when I'm usually with my friends. Harry didn't actually acknowledge me much besides surprisingly opening my door for me and I didn't acknowledge him either.

We pulled up onto the street Zayn apparently lived on and Harry took a parking place as near as he could get to the front of house before jumping out of the car. I followed his movements, pursing my lips in disgust when my eyes landed quite a few couples outside groping each other and making out heavily.

Definitely not my scene at all.

Apparently noticing my cringing stare, Harry's hand lightly pressed against the small of my back and guided me into the house. Zayn's home was big to say least. There was a beautiful chandelier that I could barely see when we walked in and a marble staircase leading up to the second floor. But everything was covered in teens that were covered in the neon colored paint that was evidently splattered across the house.

"Mercy!" My eyes scanned the rapidly moving bodies, in search of the familiar voice. "I'm right here, dipshit."

Trinity giggled as she bounced around me and linked her paint splattered arm with mine. I couldn't help but laugh at her bubbly demeanor while she gently tugged me away from Harry and led me into a separate room that happened to be a bit quieter. Through the amount of darkness in the room, I could see Louis laughing along with a blonde haired boy while they played with the neon paint.

"C'mon, I wanna paint something on you." She giggled yet again.

I smiled, allowing her to pull me towards the two laughing boys and grab a rag with water on it. Before I could even ask what she was doing her hands were going to work to scrub off the paint she had already put on me only a half hour earlier.

Once the paint was off of my face and my cheeks were clean, she dipped a paint brush into the neon pink paint and traced three lines on my cheeks. Doing the same on my other cheek, I shivered when a cold drip of paint was smeared in a circular motion around on the tip of my nose.

"Cute, cat whiskers." Louis smiled at me, his body leaned casually against the white wall.

"I could say the same about you, Louis." I poked his whisker painted cheek and smiled.

"Look," He sighed. "I'm sorry for calling you a bitch earlier. I guess I just didn't want Harry to hurt you or whatever. You're my best friend, Mercy."

"To be honest, I'm sorry calling you an asshole too." Trinity shoved a paint brush in my hand covered in a bright colored paint and motioned to her face. "You're my best friend too, though."

"You want a drink?" He asked.

"Let me finish with Trinity first then I'll go with you."

"Wait," His eyes flickered between me and Trinity a few times. "Can I help?"
