(Sorry if this update isn't the best, I've been dealing with small children for the last few hours and I think one of them got me sick or some shit. But the good thing about being sick, is that I don't have to do anything until I'm better! Xx, TS.)

Mercy

It was raining. For the millionth time. It's the rainy days that I find myself staring blankly out a window, thinking about my mom and how she loved everything about the rain; the droplets, the dark clouds, and oddly enough the thunder sometimes. I guess that's why I've loved seeing the rain fall from my bedroom window ever since I was little. I've never been afraid of the thunder and lightening apart from when I was 3 and 4 when everything besides being home was scary to me.

My parents had their first proper kiss as a couple in the rain apparently. But it rained at my moms burial after the funeral. It was depressing and cliché at fuck in my opinion but I never said anything in re-guard to the accident rainfall; I couldn't control the weather.

Two hours have passed since I've arrived home from hanging out with my friends at Louis' house, meaning it was nearing close to seven PM. My dad would be home any minute and so would Decker. I had learned upon the checking of my voicemail that Lucas had told Decker, who of course, proceeded to tell my dad that I had snuck out with someone. That someone being Harry. I don't even remember telling Lucas who I was going with, but evidently I did.

"Your dad has been trying to get a hold of you all day, Mercy."

Liam stood in my doorway with his body leaned against the doorframe lazily. His brown eyes were playful and alight, telling me that he knew of the events of hours before but he didn't care much. I liked Liam. He was older than me, obviously enough, and always tried to make a bad situation a good one with his sweet nature.

"I know," I laughed dryly, resting my head against the cold window sill. "My phones been going off all day and I've been ignoring his calls day. But I've been with Louis, Trinity, and Harry for the lot of today. Mostly Harry. He's the one that kind of got me into this mess in a way, but that's what happens when you become a teenager. You make stupid decisions and not regret it even though you should."

"You got really deep with me, love." He chuckled. "Why?"

"Hell if I know," I sighed as I stood up from where I was seating and fell back against my new black sheets. "But seriously, I think I'm just freaked about what my dad will do and thinking about my mom because of the rain or something. I'm overreacting probably. No, I am. I'm definitely overreacting."

"What is the worst your dad could do to you?"

"Take away my phone, my laptop, unplug the wifi router." He gave me a pointed look. "I don't know! He's never really caught me doing anything like this before. It was always Decker that caught me doing anything bad, which wasn't anything major, but if he wanted he could blackmail me to do anything he wanted."

"What is the worst thing you've done?" Liam asked.

"I spray painted the side of a train car with a group of friends back in Boston, and I snuck an ex boyfriend in the house." I shrugged. "I mean, the boyfriend thing was when I was like, 14, but my dad had that 'no boys until your 16' rule. The spray paint thing, was when I was pissed off at my dad for some reason."
