Class 1A!

Class 1A, how exciting! I can't believe I actually made it, and I can't believe I got 5th in the entrance exam.

"YN, hurry up or you'll make both of us late!" Kurohoshi, my older brother, shouts to me from outside my room.

Makato Kurohoshi, age: 16, height: 182cm. Quirk: store and release. Kurohoshi stores energy inside his body and can use it as strength. Kurohoshi's family adopted you after they found you in a box one fateful day when you were about 5. Ever since, you've been very clingy to him.

"Right, sorry Kuro-kun!" I shouted back to him as I grabbed my backpack and ran out of my room, catching up to Kurohoshi as he waited by the front door. He led the way as we walked towards our new school, the famous hero school where All Might went to before: UA. "Kuro-kun, can I ride on your back please?" I begged.

"Seriously? Not while I'm in school uniform, I'd rather not have footprints on my jacket." Kurohoshi declines. I pout in response to not getting my way. The walk wasn't too long to UA, and as we entered the gate I felt my heart race with excitement.

I did it. I'm really here, I'm at UA. And in the hero course! I'm closer to my dream of becoming a pro hero and saving those who need help, I'll be the best hero I can be!

"YN, stop spacing out! Class starts in 15 minutes, we need to find Class 1A." Kurohoshi states, breaking me from my trance.

"Right! Sorry, Kuro-kun. Let's go and become pro heroes!!!" I shouted with excitement as I ran ahead. Kurohoshi called out to me but I didn't realize what he said because I had bumped into someone. Huh, I didn't land on the floor? I opened my eyes and saw I was floating. "Ah!" I hissed as I flailed around.

"Woah, easy there!" A young girl's voice said to me. I stopped and turned to her, by this point I was completely upside down. Kurohoshi ran over and flipped me over so she could put me down. "Release. Sorry if it was rude to use my quirk on you, I didn't want you to get hurt by falling onto the ground. Are you okay?" She asked with a smile.

I stared blankly for a moment, "Yes, I am! Thank you for helping me not fall." I thanked as I clapped my hands together, flooded by relief.

"What have I told you about watching where you're going?" Kurohoshi said with sternness in his tone. My ears and tails hung low as I felt guilty.

"To always be aware of my surroundings, I'm sorry Kuro-kun. " I apologized. Kurohoshi patted my head, making my ears and tails perk up.

"I'll let it slide this time." He said sweetly. The girl beside us was red in the face, just staring at Kurohoshi.

"Are you okay? You're red-"

"Huh? Oh, yes! I'm fine, nothing to see here, hahaha!" She said hurriedly. "Sorry to cut this short, but we should get to class." She suggested. Kurohoshi and I followed her after exchanging what classrooms we had, finding out she's in class 1A as well, and that her name was Ochako Uraraka. We made it to class with a couple minutes to spare, so we just waited until the teacher arrived.

Everyone took their seats and then the bell rang, that’s when the teacher came in. He was definitely a sight to behold. “Good morning student’s, I am Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher.” He introduced himself, “Today will be simple, you’ll undergo a Quirk Aprehension Test, that’ll decide your class rank. That test includes a written test as well, which you’ll do now. Once you finish, you’ll get changed into gym uniforms and meet outside. Be diligent, good luck.” And with that, he left. We grabbed papers from the front desk and took the written test, which could be considered a ‘mini-test’ since it was pretty simple. Once each of us finished, we put our papers in a stack then changed.
