Lizz's POV
I was in his arms I felt like no one was there except us, I looked up at his face and he smiled, my eyes landed on his soft pink lips and I licked mine, I tiptoed lightly "Wanna go somewhere else with me?" he whispered in my ear
"Yes please" I replied softly, I was going to kiss him
I want to, I guess Its because I'm half drunk and I have half of my brains
"Ok" he smiled lighty and left my waist, took my hand, we walked out, near the porch "Wait here till I come back ,I promise I'll be here soon" with this he left me there and started running towards our houses
I was lonely and confused so I sat on a small couch on the porch, the night has faded its cold and many people have left, I haven't seen Morgan from an hour and apart from her everyone's unknown to me I checked my phone few times in case, mom have texted or called but my phone is notification free, I rest my cheek on my shoulder and closed my eyes
After few minutes, I was finally into my senses and though only few minutes have past but it feels like a whole day has past, I squinted my eyes as the headlights flashed on my face and I am trying to ignore it but its flashing over my face so raised my hand in front of my face to avoid, its car coming closer it stopped in front the house
A tall figure came out of it ,when my eyesight was finally clear I saw him, its him "Oh finally you're here I thought I am gonna get old here waiting for you" I stood up and walked towards him without tripping
"Ha ha really funny ,now let's go we should not waste this beautiful night" he walked towards the other side of the car and opened the door for me
I thanked him and climbed inside the car, He also took his driver's seat , started the engine and started driving. "So you own a BMW X1 ,I am impressed....a lot" I stared at his face
"Its my dad's I sometimes drive it" he focused on the road, its empty for the 1st time and only because its almost 1 am
"Great " I continued staring, I love staring at him not because of his face but by just thinking that how insanely lucky I am to have him here with me, if he wanted he could have left me with someone and fucked at hot girl in a room or bathroom or swimming pool or on couch
He's kind of a gentleman
"Lizz can you please stop staring at me like this I am telling you this because if you continue that I will loose control on my hormones and will crash my car into a tree or something" he laughed but I took a glimpse of blush on his cheeks, I immediately looked at the other way I can't see my face but I already know that I am already red like a fresh tomato
"Where are we going?" I asked looking out of the window,skyscrapers are favorite thing here and the Hollywood sign compliments it
"You will know its a surprise!" He took a left.
"I love surprises" I blushed a little
Later, we were like at the end of the city ,sky was clear there were lot of stars more than I usually see and finally the car stopped , Without thinking for a second I got out of the car "Oh my God" I whispered Its the most beautiful place I have ever seen, Its like a forest, full of trees and bushes and under the moonlight every leaf was shining bright, few were under our feets, dead and dried, the only source of light was moon but its enough, I started walked a little and by every step I was taking, dry leaves were crunching under my boots, I inhaled the fresh and cold wind, mixed with smell of leaves and ground and little bit sandy, I have never seen such beautiful place in my life and that too in LA
"So how is this place ?" He asked
"Its speechless how did you find this place in such a less time ? I am living here from 17 years and didn't even know that such place exists" I looked at him
"Just Found it, you like it ?" He smiled and his jaw flexed
"I love it" I whispered
"I have one more thing to show just follow me" he walked ahead and I just followed
"Tada!!"
"A Bench?? This is something that you wanted to show me" I chuckled
we're drunk
"Ya ofcourse otherwise where we will sit and mud isn't the best place" he shrugged
"Hmmm Soo....Nate Jensen" I took a seat on bench
"Yaa"
"Tell me about you"
"I did when I was 5 we shifted from Canada to Cali it was a good change, I loved that place--"
"No" I interrupted him "why are you so cute ?" Ok now drunk lizz is speaking, I would hardly remember it, he clenched his jaw and looked away "something happened?" I raised an eyebrow
"Yeah something happened, something changed" he said,I simply nooded
"If you would like to share ?" I whispered
"Ohk I am only telling you this because I trust you and I know you respect me and please don't share this with anyone even with your parents" he looked straight into my dark brown eyes but when I looked into his hazel eyes, they were darker, so much darker
"I promise" I murmured, the wind blows almost messing up my hairs and Nate tucked them behind my ear
"last year, there was a girl, cute, nerdy, totally shy, Lara" he whispered her name "Everyone knew she's mine" he smiled maybe, because of his ex girlfriend "We got so close, day by day, our love seemed to get stronger, we loved each other madly, It was almost impossible for me to give her up but after 7 or 8 months of our relationship, she told me that she is moving to Seattle I got really angry, we has a fight because I knew Long distance won't work" he whispered his smile disappeared in seconds, I swallowed hardly and I saw regret ,guilt and sadness in his voice and his eyes, they have gotten darker "I wanted her to stay we knew it was impossible, but we still promised to stay in touch and I--I" he took a deep breath "I wanted our long distance to work, but things don't go as we want them to go, everything was perfect at the start, we talked daily for hours, we Skyped every day but it all faded away within 2 months only" His breath got sharper and he shivered, so he lied to me earlier, I gulped, he's still shivering
"Nate" I placed my hand on his shoulder "Calm down...breath" I pressed my hand on his chest, his heart is racing "Nate your heart is banging inside, just breathe"
He took some deep breaths and closed his eyes " Thanks "
"Its ok If you don't want to talk about your Ex."
"No I do, I want to take it out of my system, I am an ashhole ,I started checking out on other girls, I used to flirt with them ,make out with them and sleep with them" he lowered his eyes, I know we're drunk but I can't believe it he's a nice guy, he has been to me, since the very moment I don't want to believe it "I totally forgot her till the end of the year ,we both used to talk but it wasn't the same thing. It wasn't....on the day on our 1st anniversary she thought of giving me a surprise by coming back to Cali for few weeks but I totally forgot our most important day, I was so careless she wanted to surprise me but she got a surprise, she caught me having.....I mean fucking another girl in my room" He looked away and I can see he's biting his lips, tightly, his eyes are twitched, he can't face me, he can't even face himself
After Some time I heard his husky voice
"I broke her"
