XIV

After she separated from her brother Bahiyyih wandered for a long time in the cold winter, hunting what she could.
She was a child against the wild cold and the thousand dangers of that forest.
She survived as best she could while her skills as a warrior and hunter increased over time making her the strongest Puma between the few left
There's only one thing that pushed her to never stop her long journey, the search of her beloved older brother.
She missed badly the moments spent together, the warmth and the feeling of protection that her brother gave her in every situation, if he was still alive, he would still fight anything to protect her and keep her safe.
Not that she needed that, but being in two, watching each other's back was certainly less scary.
When they were still living together, whenever he was hunting with their older sister, she felt alone, even if for a short time, she always wanted to stay by his side wherever he went.
But now she has no one else except for her self, she'd got used to her loneliness, she does everything on her own, but still she wanted him next to her.

Bahiyyih had a one-of-a-kind beauty with very bright pink eyes and quite defined features that made her even more unique and beautiful.

Some time later, wondering through the forest, she comes across a scene so devastating that she had to take a deep breath and hold her tears while approaching.
Two corpses of two adult Pumas, now frozen by the cold, and a cub covered in blood between the two bodies, the child seemed dead, but as soon as Bahiyyih touched her, she raised her face towards the older girl.
Cub: "Who are you?"
She asked trembling all over by the freezing cold.
Bahiyyih: "I'm Bahiyyih, I'm here to help you, do you want to come with me?"
Cub: "I'm Myah, I'm so hungry!"
Bahiyyih: "Okay Myah, come on let's find a little shelter so we can warm up, okay?"
Myah nodded and followed Bahiyyih in search of a hut, Bahiyyih tried to warm her up towards the whole journey until they finally found on.
Bahiyyih: "For this week we'll stay here, I'm going to hunt for something, take a bath and then we'll eat"
Bahiyyih went out to hunt and Myah did what Bahiyyih told her, cleaning herself and finally feeling a comforting heat that give her hope.
She was alive, she fought the cold, now she was safe with a roof over her head and a friend.

Many things shared the two, their young age, the loss of parents, a long time alone and their unique facial features that revealed their double nationality and unique beauty.

After about an hour Bahiyyih returned with a rich booty that the two shared while chatting, trying to get to know each other better.
Bahiyyih: "I lost my parents too, I also lost my sister due to a small pack werewolves, I miss her, I wish she could still be here"
Myah: "I understand you, hunters also took my brother, they took him and since then I have no more news, then they killed my family"
Bahiyyih: "I also have a brother, we separated to escape the pack and since then I don't have any updates about him, I've been looking for him ever since, it's been seven years now, but hope is last to die"
Myah: "How old are you?"
Bahiyyih: "Twelve, you?"
Myah: "Ten"
Bahiyyih smiled, they finished dinner and she got up from the table taking her plate and Myah's.
Bahiyyih: "You better go to sleep, I'll clean it here"
Myah: "Okay"
She quickly fall asleep in her new bed, when Bahiyyih finished cleaning the kitchen she laid next to the little girl, sleeping together.

From that day five years passed, five years in which the two traveled every now and then, moving in search of Kai, each time getting closer and closer, but they never met.
The two were moving towards south, where there was this abandoned oasis near the sea, where they could live in peace.
They were walking in the deep forest when Bahiyyih stopped finding a strong foreign scent surrounding them.
Myah: "Unnie what's up? Why did you stop?"
Bahiyyih: "Shhh, hunters, stay still"
A shot was heard, the dart luckily hit a tree, making the two ran away as fast as they could to get to safety.
Bahiyyih: "Myah, if we get separated, go south, there is an abandoned city there, you will be safe"
Myah: "Okay"
Then another shot. Myah fell to the ground by the hit, Bahiyyih tried to help her, but the anesthetic was already effecting her young body.
Bahiyyih: "Myah!"
Myah: "Go find your brother"
Bahiyyih wanted to do something, she wanted to help her, but she knew that if she stayed they would catch her too.
Fighting herself, she kept running south, she ran for hours, when she was finally safe Bhaiyyih set her tent and stayed there all night, mourning the loss of her only best friend.
Bahiyyih: "Oh Kai, if only you were here we would be able to save her, I miss you big brother, I miss you so much"
Slowly she fell asleep amidst sobs and tears.

After that night she continued undaunted her journey, taking breaks only when she was at the end of her strength, not giving up one inch.
