You watch Stephen stand in front of your company building with a smirk. You here your phone buzz, picking it up

"Let him in"

After five minutes, there he was, standing in your office "You have to tell me what you're planning. I don't trust you for one bit" You scoff "Then why do I have to tell you if you don't even trust my word"

You stand up "Listen to me, this is none of your business. As I said before, I won't hesitate getting my hands dirty" You steps echoing through your office, giving you the confidence you needed

"You don't scare me" He replies darkly

"You don't scare me either, stop pretending you're so high and mighty when I know you're shivering in those unfashionable shoes of yours" You smirk once again

"So... Lonely. So... Sad" Your smirk begins to widen as he gives you a scowl

"Now stay out of my way. Or else death will come collect your debt"

~~~
"Tony, I need to talk to you" Stephen walks through a portal, startling Tony "Oh my God, there's something called a front door you know??" Tony runs a hand through his face, looking at his desk and finding a cup of coffee
"It's about Y/n" Stephen watches Tony inspect the mug
"Uhuh, what about her? Make it quick, I have to talk to her in a bit" Tony downs the drink without hesitation as Stephen looks in disgust
"I think she's planning something bad. I overheard her talking about some protocol in a dark alleyway-"
"Alright, I'm gonna stop you right there. My patience has disappeared as soon as you started speaking, so I'll be going" Tony tiredly hands Stephen the empty mug
"You know it's serious Tony!" Stephen yells as Tony walks through his glass door
"No I don't!" Tony yells back
~~~

The next few days were a nightmare for Stephen. He still saw you whenever he was out but you always gave him one look.

A look that threatened to kill.

The days went onto weeks, then onto months. He never saw you go after him and he knew for a fact that you knew that he told Tony.

So why haven't you kidnapped and tortured him yet?

Because it was the least of your concern.

~~~
"So this protocol..." Tony reads over the files you handed him "I'd say it's a pretty good idea" You cross your arms "I have been planning it for a while. I also may, or may not have stolen some of your tech to get this thing working" You watch as he spits his drink out a little
"What??" He sets his glass down "Alright, calm down. I didn't take anything of importance, it needed upgrades and I got my best technician working on it for the most part"
"Why didn't you tell me first?" Tony closes the file
"Well... It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you" You shrug
"You can establish the protocol and have it set in motion with just one signature" You slide a pen over to him in which he catches before it fell off the table
"It's like making a deal with the devil" He mutters
"Yeah. But this time, she's giving the side of the angels a little visit" You smirk
"A Sherlock reference? Really?" He scoffs, signing the document "You know I can't help myself. And thank you for agreeing. Vernon will send Pepper the details" You stand up to shake his hand
"Why are you sending Pepper the details and not me?"
"Cause we know for a fact that you wouldn't even take a glance at it" You nudge him playfully "Touché" He nods in agreement.
~~~

"Good job on getting Mr. Stark to agree" Vernon walks over to your desk "It's after hours Vernon, what are you doing here?" You ask, keeping your eyes on your desktop

"I can't really leave you alone for a few hours" Vernon sits down on one of your chairs

"Actually it's you I can't leave alone for a while. I get you to go to a warehouse and then you go stuff your face with a technician" You retort making him blush

"It was one time" He mutters

"Go home Vernon, I'm sure Jack is waiting for you in your apartment" You give him a small smile "I'm not leaving until you go too, Ma'am" He stands up straight "I'm not joking Vernon" You laugh at his stance

"I'll go home shortly, don't worry"

"You overwork yourself without even noticing" He sighs before walking away

You smirk triumphantly until your desktop screen closes "What the fuck!?" Your eyes widen. It soon darts to Vernon holding up a plug "You're coming home with me" He gives you a smug smile

"Vernon" You stand up

"You made a mistake"

~~~
"Alright! Alright! I'm sorry!" Vernon whimpers "Good, now get my driver" You let go of his prized possession, his artsy schedule.
You don't know why he likes to write them down when he could easily type it into a computer or phone but you liked the designs he comes up with whenever you take a glimpse at it
"My baby" He coos to the thick book
"I'll rip it to shreds if you ever do that again" You smirk
"Fine, I won't do it again"
~~~

You tiredly dive into your bed, until you hear meowing from the floor "I know Cayenne, I'll get changed in a bit" You comment, digging your head deep into your pillows until you feel tiny nails dig into your back

"Ok! Stop!" You catch your cat off your back and set her back down on the carpeted floor "I'll get changed, no need to scratch me" You pat Cayenne on the head before going into your bathroom.

After changing into pajamas, washing your face and brushing your teeth, you were ready for bed. You snuggled into your duvet as Cayenne snuggled next to you and lets out a meow

"Goodnight Cayenne" Turning off your lamp, you slowly drift off to sleep.
