You stare out the small window provided by your own private jet, zoning out. As you did this, Vernon was brewing up a plan.

You had to get your things out of your New York apartment as you wanted to change locations to move closer to the company building, but every apartment building around the block was not available

"Ma'am?" Vernon snaps you out of your daze and you turn to him.

You hum in acknowledgement "We haven't found an apartment yet, every apartment building is unavailable, do you want to go back to your old one or stay in the penthouse?" He asks

"What? no. If I go back to the old apartment it would've been a waste of time getting my things out of there plus I don't like the penthouse because of the-"

"Height, yes I know"

A moment of silence was shared as you began to think of a way to have a home to get back to

"What about the Sanctum? It's pretty close to our building, it's also not that tall" Vernon suggests

"I don't know, we'll see. Anyways, we need to get a party going" You grab your ipad

"Why do we need a party?"

"I'm back, of course we need a party" You shrug

~~~
As soon as you get into your car, you call Strange "Hey wizard, I'm back in town" You greet as he picks up
"Really? Where are you?"
"Out of the airport, in my car" You start your car as you begin to drive
"Oh, do you want to meet up or?" He trails off
"I'll be at your place, I need to talk to you about something, actually" You chuckle as you see a message pop up on your screen
"Alright, drive safely"
"Yep, I will"
You tap your screen to call Vernon
"I saw what you messaged and yes, I've taken it into consideration" You hear him laugh on the other line
"Well, it was my idea" Vernon boasts
"Go finish the preparations, we'll off work for a few weeks so we can relax or something like that" He sighs in relief
"Thank God, London was so stressful"
~~~

"So, welcome back" Stephen greets as he leads you to the kitchen of the Sanctum "Yes, thank you. I wanted to talk to you about something..." You thank him

He hands you a mug of tea/coffee "Yeah, go ahead" He gestures for you to continue

"Is it okay if I move in here? I understand if it's non negotiable but I just really need a place to stay" You blurt out as he chokes on his drink

"Wait, you're serious?" You nod as you watch him set his own mug down

"I might need to get Wong into this decision" He contemplates

"I won't be a burden, I'll probably be out at work most of the time, I just need a place to go back to after" You chuckle nervously

"Don't you have an apartment?"

"Well, I did. I had my things moved out since I was planning on moving to a place near here but there wasn't a place available" You stop him

"And I can't move back, I tried but they already had someone occupying my old apartment" After a brief moment, Wong enters the kitchen

"Great! Hi Wong" You great, getting off your chair and handing him a paper bag

"It's take out, I got some after getting out of the airport" You smile at him and he gives you a slight smile

"Thank you" He mutters

"Actually, Wong. Y/n wants to move in" Stephen mentions

The librarian stops in his tracks "Alright, as long as you don't break any relics or do anything dangerous, I'll allow it"

"It's because she gave you food isn't it?"

"What? It's food, who would refuse that?"

"My new life motto" You point finger guns at Wong and he nods back.

Soon, Wong leaves the room "Don't worry, I'll spoil you too. If you're a good boy" You ruffle Strange's hair

He laughs, hiding his slight blush at the nickname "You don't mind me having a cat do you?" You ask, picking up your phone

"You have a cat?"

"Yes, her name is Cayenne and she's an orange tabby. She'll be in my room most of the time but if you'd like to babysit her, I'll gladly allow it" You grin as you call Vernon

"Where's my room gonna be doc?" You turn to him

"Here, follow me"

~~~
"Wow, no one has lived here for what? Ten decades?" You comment, inspecting the decaying walls and dust covered furniture
"We never got to cleaning the rooms for possible guests but I'm sure you wouldn't mind. I mean you could hire a cleaning crew" He shrugs in response
"Yeah, I'll need one. Hell, this looks like a crime scene" You walk in, decor and aesthetic ideas begin to brew in your head
"Gonna give it a makeover?" Stephen notices the look on your face
"Duh, who'd want to live in this shithole, no offense"
"None taken" He nods in understanding.
The room was a mess, leaks in the corner, discarded trash littered all over the floor, a broken mirror, rips on the wallpaper and furniture too broken to be used.
But the layout was nice, it was big and roomy, there's a window bench and a walk-in closet flushed into a wall next to a bathroom.
Ideas began flooding in and you hummed in thought
"Alright, I'll leave you for now. To, you know, visualize or something" Stephen walks away
Even if he wanted to stay and watch you.
Creepy in a way, but he wanted to admire you, like he didn't already do that.
You connect your phone to your ear and begin to speak, with Vernon on the other line
"Ma'am?"
"Vernon, get the moving trucks, a cleaning crew and a repair group here. Oh, don't forget to pick up Cayenne, bring her things here"
"Where exactly?"
"177a Bleecker Street"
