Losing Herself

Ashtray's POV:

It's been 14 days since the funeral, Grace  only leaves our room to use the bathroom. She hasn't eaten, gone to school, or even spoke ever since. Nobody has seen her-- at all. Only me and barely Fez, even. We've all started to worry.

Fez: "Man this really did a number on her."

Ash: "You think? I just wish she'd come out, I hate seeing her like this."

Fez: "I know, bro."

Faye: "She like, completely went emo or something."

Ash: "Shut the fuck up. Nobody asked you."

Faye: "Hey, I'm just saying she should come out, it's been days."

Ash: "It was her mother, Faye. Let her fucking be."

Grace's POV:

It felt like my whole body had shut down. As much as I missed everyone, I felt no motivation to do or say anything. I missed holding my sister, too. I know I said I needed to keep myself together but it's harder than I imagined it to be, but I have to suck it up now. I should try to start living again. With that, I walked out of the room.

"Hey guys.." I said quietly, all 3 people turned their heads to look at me.

Ash: "Grace." His eyes instantly lit up and a small smile appeared on his face. Fez and Faye smiled, as well.

"Hey, Ash" I hugged him tightly.

Fez: "Hey, kid. We missed you."

I then went over and hugged Fez.

"Believe me, I missed you all too."

Then there was a knock.

Fez: "I'll get it." He opened the door and it was Rue. She pushed past Fez and sat on the couch, then looked at me.

Rue: "You look rough."

Ash: "Shut the fuck up Rue."

Fez: "Ay man, what you doin' here?"

Rue: "I just need my usual. The shop wasn't open so."

Fez: "Yeah, there's a reason for dat."

I caught something move at the corner of my eye, I turned my head and it was Layla. She had started crawling.

"Ash?? When did she start crawling?"

Ash: "First time I saw her do it..about 2 or 3 days ago."

"I missed it.."

Rue: "Aaanyway, my usual?"

Fez: "Nah, not today. Sorry man, come back tomorrow. It's 11 o'clock at night, anyway."

Rue: "C'mon jus--" She gets cut off.

Grace & Ash: "Just fucking go, Rue!"

Fez: "What they said, it's too late for dis shit bruh"

Rue: "Fine. Fuck you, all 4 of you." She stormed out, slightly slamming the door.

"That was more dramatic than it had to be."

Fez: "Word."

"Ugh I'm starving." I made a bowl of cereal, took it into the living room and started eating.

Ash: "Proud of you, ma."

I smiled. "I like that nickname."

Ash sat down beside me and put his arm around me.

Fez: "Yall wanna watch a movie?"

All: "Sure."

Fez put on a movie called "Friday" we were all having a good time, for the first time in a while.
