By the time the sunset, you had a fire started with a couple of cod gently roasting over the dancing flames. You watched the fire, pressing your cheek against your closed fist. By this time of night, you would usually be telling stories alongside Kennen and Shen to the local children. How you would miss them...

You were snapped out of your thought process when you heard a rustle. It was so quiet that if it weren't for your sharpened senses, you would've missed it. You cautiously reached for your weapon. Your trusty katana.

There it was again, that sound. But this time the rustling came from the treetops. You concluded that this was not an animal, but maybe a demon. Or a person? You weren't quite sure, but whatever it was, it was a threat.

The forest was swallowed by an eerie silence as you readied yourself, adjusting your grip on your weapon, squinting to try and see clearer in the shadowy blanket of night.

You were tackled from your left side and knocked to the ground, a pained grunt leaving your mouth as your sore body took the impact of the fall. Your hand darted around in search of your katana that was only inches away, but the attacker was already one step ahead. They knocked it away with a swipe of their foot and pinned you down to the forest floor, the sharp blade of a kunai held up against your throat.

"Weak. as expected for a Noxian." A surprisingly feminine voice scoffed. "Any last words?" She glared

Your eyes widened for a moment. Noxian? How on Runterra could this person mistake you for one of them? Then again, your clothing was stained with your blood, the red being reminiscent of Noxian guard uniforms.

"I-I'm not one of them." You stated, grasping her wrist. Then silence.

You took this opportunity to study the person. Well, as best as you could in the dark. The lower half of her face was covered by a deep green mask made of Ionian silk that hung down to about the base of her neck. Her wild, black locks had escaped her wild ponytail, hanging in front of her eyes. Oh, her eyes. Her eyes were colored a deep red, gleaming under the faint light of the fire. They seemed to hold a little fire of their own.

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but the defensive expression remained. "You're not one of them, hm? Then who are you?" Her low voice spat, the blade of the weapon now pressing into your skin.

You hissed. "I used to be a member of the Kinkou Order." You swallowed hard and tightened your grip on her wrist.

The attacker eased up a tad, scanning you for proof. You couldn't help but blush when her eyes traveled over your chest area, but to your luck, she was far more interested in finding an answer than studying your face. "Huh. I guess you weren't lying after all." She examined a ceremonial pin on your kimono, huffing through her nose.

You raised an eyebrow. "And how do you know that? Are you familiar with them?" You nudged her hand away while propping yourself up on your elbows.

She grumbled something under her mask, storing her kunai away and standing up. "I am. But I won't tell you anything so don't bother asking me about it." She outstretched a hand to help you up. You gratefully took her hand, standing up with her assistance. "Oh, you're secretive, I see. Can I at least know your name?" You questioned, looking up at the other woman.

She huffed once more blowing her mask out while shaking your hand. "You can call me Akali."
