You must have been blessed with a miracle as Akali had decided to stick around. You found out that Akali had also once been a part of the order, but she had long since left. You also decided to share some of your past and the two of you became more familiar with each other.

At the moment Akali was telling you a tale about one of her encounters with a demon. She kept rambling on but you didn't mind. Plus, she seemed to be enjoying herself as she had taken her mask off and her facial expression was more casual and relaxed than earlier.

"So you met a gumiho? in this forest?" Disbelief was clear in your voice, your eyes went wide with anticipation. "Yeah, she was pretty chill honestly. We've been mutual friends ever since." Akali hummed, running her fingers along the flat of her kama. "But she is a sucker for hugs. It seemed pretty cute at first but she sheds all over the damned place." She snorted and you stifled a giggle behind your palm.

Both of your laughter started to die down, a yawn coming from the ninja. "Wow. It's been nice to finally get some human interaction..." She laid down on her back, settling her hands comfortably on her midriff and gazing up at the twinkling sky above. "I'm guessing you're tired, huh? I don't blame you, all this laughing has got me exhausted." The two of you shared one last chuckle as you laid down next to her, sighing quietly.

Suddenly, the ninja turned on her side to face you, smiling lazily. "Thanks for letting me stay..." She murmured, Her eyelids drooping as she spoke. "Thanks for not killing me." You chuckled and Akali huffed in response. "You're welcome. Night, Y/N." She yawned again, letting her eyes fall shut.

"Night, Akali..." You whispered, dozing off with a smile.
