OLIVIA'S POV
I smiled at Travis and Dion as we enjoyed my chef's food. They had come to spend the Sunday with me and I couldn't be more grateful for the company. I was really happy to be with them before they left for England.
"I'm gonna miss you, kiddo," I told Dion as I ruffled his blond hair.
He giggled. "I'm gonna miss you too, aunt Olivia. Christmas kinda sucks without you. But you know, you wished to spend Christmas with your family and wishes do come through." He said innocently.
I smiled cause he remembered my wish on Thanksgiving. Dion was a sweet kid, but if only he knew my predicament. He was going away with his dad, my best friend and my grandparents were away too. I had no family. Christmas was just going to be another day for me. I forced a smile. "Yes Di, wishes do come through," I said, not even believing it myself.
Travis just winked at me and continued with his food. After lunch, Dion went about playing with the toys I always stacked up for him while Travis and I sipped our wine while watching him. "With how sad you look, it's like Dion and I are going for good. We'll just be gone for a week." He said and placed his hands across my shoulder, pulling me closer to him and squeezing me. "You'll get through this just fine. Plus, you've got that guy."
I elbowed him. "He's got a name. Ace." And speaking of Ace, he just texted me. I looked at my phone and smiled as I read his message.
'Hey baby, how's your day going so far? Want me to take you out for dinner tonight?'
"You better accept that offer." I heard Travis say and elbowed him again. "Ouch! That hurts."
I looked up at him. "Yeah, next time, you wouldn't read my messages."
"Come on, you're close to me, it's normal that I pry. But honestly, you need to go on that date tonight. You need some dick."
I snapped my head so fast and almost choked on my wine. "What?"
"Girl, you told me y'all dating right now, so it's gonna happen." He said as if it was the most obvious thing ever.
I took a sip of my wine and looked ahead of me guiltily.
Travis' mouth hung low. "You didn't!"
I dropped my glass and scooted away from him so I could face him. "What?"
"You forged him! You doe!" He said and I burst out laughing. Having Dion in the room was hindering the proper conversation. He had to say 'forged' instead of 'fucked', and 'doe' instead of 'hoe'.
I rolled my eyes. "What? You can't blame me. Have you seen the guy? Plus he's good and I liked him so?"
He pressed his lips together. "And you didn't tell me. I thought we were best friends. And here I was, worried about you if you were getting some and all this while, you were."
I rolled my eyes again. "Well sorry. Now you know. And yes, I will go out with him tonight so let's drop the topic." I said as I replied to Ace's message and looked back at Travis. "I was going to tell you but I just didn't know how to. It's not like the easiest thing to just tell someone."
"But I'm your best friend. You can always talk to me. But that's by the way. I understand it's not easy to say something like that so it's all good. Where are you guys going to?"
I shrugged. "I dunno. He'd send the details." And I don't know what sort of coincidence this was, because immediately I said that, I received another message from Ace.
'I'll pick you up at 7. Let's go to El Palacio. If it is okay by you, though.'
I looked at my best friend. "El Palacio." I replied in a bored tone.
