Ultrasound and surprise?

Emma's POV

"Are you nervous love?" Jay asked. Louis called his parents to come and stay with me and the kids considering I will get bigger soon and won't be able to do much. We are going to my 20 week ultrasound. I feel better having Jay with me.

"No not really. I'm more excited than nervous." I said rubbing my baby bump and smiling at it. We walk in and sign in and sit down. We wait a while before my name was called.

"Hello love. Where's your husband?" Dr. Smith asked.

"On tour with his band mates." I said. "He will be back next month."

"Alright let's have a look at the new baby." She said I rolled up my top. "It will be cold." She said and put the gel on my bare stomach however being use to the feeling I don't move. She puts the wand on my stomach and we soon hear a swooshing sound of the babies heartbeat. I see Jay smiling next to me and I smile as well. "Well everything looks good. Baby is growing healthy. Would you like to know the gender?" She asks. I thought for a moment and how cool it would be to surprise Louis when he comes home. However I don't want to find out without him.

"Can you take a picture and put it in an envelope and give it to Jay?" I asked. Jay looked confused at first but nodded. The doctor took the picture and went to get it.

"What was that about?" She asked me.

"I want Louis and I to find out the gender together. So I was thinking maybe give you the picture if the gender and when I pick up Louis and we come home have pink or blue balloons of the gender or something." I told her my idea.

"Darling that's a wonderful idea." She said. The doctor came back and handed Jay the envelope. She opened it and smiled. "Just what I hoped for." She said and I smiled and rubbed my belly.

We went home and Emily ran up to me.

"Is it a girl?! Please say it's a girl." She said excitedly.

"I don't know what the gender is." I said.

"Why didn't you find out?" She asked me.

"Because I wanted Louis and I to find out together and we can't so I won't find out until he comes home." I told her.

"But that's next month!" She whined.

"Guess you'll wait a month to find if you'll have a niece or nephew." I said.

"That's not fair. Ugh Emmy!" She whined and I laughed at her.

"Ugh Emily!" I mocked her whining and she glared at me and I laughed.

"Hello love what would like for dinner?" Jay walked up to me.

"Umm I don't really care. Nothing spicy or pizza. The smells made me sick." I said scrunching up my nose remembering how sick I got.

"Chinese?" She asked.

"Ooh yes. Sesame chicken would be lovely." I said suddenly getting a craving for Chinese.

"Okay love. Why don't you go up and take a nap. I'll wake up when food is here." She said and nodded. I could use a nap. I went upstairs and changed out of my clothes. When I was about to get into bed I felt a tap on my leg. I turn around and see Will.

'Hey baby.' I smiled as I greeted him.

'Mummy when the new baby comes will you forget about me?' He asked.

'Never. Yes the new baby will need a bit of attention at first but all babies do when they are first born.' I said to him.

'Did I need a lot of attention?' He asked.

'Yes. And you got all the attention you needed.' I smiled.

'But what if we don't do anything together anymore?' He asked.

'We will. I'm about to take nap. Would you like to cuddle and rest with mummy?' I asked him and he nodded. He got under the covers with me and laid beside me.

'Mummy?' I asked.

'Yes baby.'

'Will I have a baby brother or sister?' He asked curiously.

'I don't know honey. We will make it a surprise.' I signed. 'What do you want?' I asked him.

'A sister.' He surprised me with that answer. Most little boys want a brother.

'Why a sister and not a brother?' I asked.

'Because you and daddy always say I'm a little daddy. Now we have to have a little mummy too.' He said and I smiled and kissed him head.

'I love you baby.' I told him.

'I love you mummy.' He said and we drifted to sleep.
