Standing up, Jack then turned to me and pulled me up, making me chuckle lightly. We walked hand in hand to our huts, pretty used to them by now. We stopped outside of mine and I stared up at the boy. His blonde locks were slicked back onto his head, each strand sitting perfectly out of the way of his perfect face. Freckles sprinkles across his cheeks, and even in the darkness of the night his eyes were bright and bold. They stared longingly into mine, making me feel all sorts of things.
"Goodnight darling." He whispered and without hesitation I leaned into the boy, our lips locking and a long, passionate kiss unfolded. His tongue slid into my mouth with ease, exploring all parts of it. We only pulled away because we had to breathe.
"Goodnight lover boy." I winked at him, a smirk resting on his lips; he smirked more than he smiled at this point. He gave me a small wave when I was inside the hut, and I looked out to him. Our eyes met once again before he broke the contact, walking away. I let out a sigh, not a frustrated or upset one though, a happy one. I'd gotten quite lucky on this little island of paradise, but we all know that nobody can be this happy without some bad things happening. There had to be a balance. I dreaded what was to come, expecting, knowing, something was going to go wrong at some point.

16th August 1990

Someone was shaking me. My eyes pried open, suddenly being blinded by a bright light, the sun. It was day? I was slightly confused, but started to come round after sitting up and taking a few seconds to remember who I was and where I was. Had I fallen asleep last night? I don't even remember. I looked in the direction of the evil person who woke me so early. Ugh of course, none other than Jack flipping Merridew. I could tell it was so early just by the fact I was the only one awake; Annie was an early bird so if she wasn't awake it must've been at the crack of dawn, jesus.
"Sleep well?" He grinned at me, proud of himself for waking me up at this time.
"Shut up, I hate you right now. It's so early even Annie isn't awake!" I shout whispered, trying to still be quiet for the sleeping girl next to me. Jack only sniggered at my frustration, of course. I rolled my eyes and scoffed.
"Cmon get up we're going somewhere." Jack ordered.
"Who's we? And don't tell me what to do you're in my bad books right now." I spat in anger. Jacks hand flew to his sides as he put them up in defence .
"Hey, hey, calm down grumpy. I wanna go exploring together, we haven't seen the full island I'm sure it's got some hidden beauties we can uncover." The idea sounded quite nice, but I was still pissed because of the whole situation of it being so early.
"Ugh, k fine." I huffed. "Go away I'll be out in a minute." I shooed him out. The boy laughed once again at my attitude, before kissing my forehead and exiting the hut. God he was hot. I grabbed a small  brush out of my blazer pocket, it had survived the crash, thank god; I always kept it in my zip pocket. I began carefully brushing through my soft hair, it wasn't greasy or dry, surprisingly. I guess my common showers were taking effect. I didn't have much to do to get ready, I rearranged my top and took off my skirt, the heat was unbearable so I tried to wear as few layers as possible. I folded my blazer and skirt and placed them on the sandy floor of the hut.

Next thing on my list, inform someone I would be leaving. Annie would get quite a fright me being awake before her, never mind if I just left with no warning. I lightly tapped the girl, but that of course didn't work so I resorted to a little shake. The shakes gradually got more aggressive as the girl wasn't waking, finally her eyes shot open. I felt slightly guilty realising I'd just done to her what Jack had done to me.
"Morning, just wanted to tell you I'm heading out with Jack. Not sure when I'll be back" I gave the girl a smile, which she returned.
"Aww cute, have fun." Her shaky morning voice very apparent. We both giggled slightly before she rubbed her eyes, then closed them again. I took that as my sign to leave and quietly exited the hut. When I stepped out I was greeted with the blonde boy again, a coconut shell full of water and some mangos and bananas in his hand.
