CHAPTER FOUR

ALPHA JONAS'S POV

I don't know how to feel, I have always looked forward to meeting my mate but after all these and now with the war I already lost hope. why did she have to show now? who is she? what was she doing at the edge of the forest. she choose the worst time to come, I couldn't take care of a mate especially if she's anything I dreamed off, I always liked my women submissive and sweet almost shy and naïve.

It feels like I am going crazy. its been hours since I got a sniff of her beautiful scent and its all I can think of, I was on edge because my beast wouldn't rest. I have been on three runs for the past three hours trying to tire him out but it seems like nothing is working, he wants to go hunt his mate but heaven knows I had a lot of paperwork to attend to but I knew if I didn't attend to him I would not be able to focus. I call on my beta and head into the forest, I expect the scent to have vanished but I was so surprised to still smell it.

My beta Walter followed closely not really saying anything, he knows not to say anything as he can sense my mood but I knew there was something on his mind he wanted to share. glancing back every now and then to see if he is behind me, I finally couldn't take it anymore and decide to break the silence

"what has you so quiet this evening" I say a little more forcefully than I had intended it to be
" I am simply wondering what is going through your head, one minute you do not want to deal with a mate and now we are going to find her"
"its not like I want to go searching for her but Leo would not let be focus"
"what is going to happen if you find her, you understand that the mate pull within the first twenty hours you set your eyes on each other are very crazy and the urge to mark her will almost drive you mad"
"I do know that but there's nothing I can do if I do not find her Leo won't let me be"

I wanted to yell so badly but I couldn't, he is quiet after this and I can see that he is deep in thoughts and just like that I start to daydream again. we continue on the path in the forest and follow the smell to see that the person had entered into the border, there's only one person within this woods and it happens to be the pack's omega, we hurried our steps and the more we drew closer the more pungent the smell was, At this point I was confused because I hadn't seen the omega in a long time almost five years because she tends to keep away from plain sight. my mind began to spin the closer we got there, what if she found out that she was my mate and hid. it didn't feel right and before long we got to her door. knocking softly I see her peek from the hole on the door before sliding the door open.

"good evening Tiana" I say while discreetly trying to sniff her scent but she wasn't smelling like my mate
"good evening alpha" she replied keeping her eyes down. I couldn't tell if she was shy or respect but I liked it.
"we caught a scent at the south border earlier and it seems to be coming from your house"
Her eyes widen a bit before she regains her composure, she giggles a bit and smiles shyly before inviting me in. weird I thought to myself but I stepped in not wanting to be rude, she tells us to sit and we do. she rushes upstairs quickly, I could hear whispering and sounds like someone being dragged before long. she comes down but we could hear footsteps behind her. I knew she lived alone after the tragic incident so I was curious, I could see my beta sit straighter at the sight of the omega but I couldn't think as the smell of flowers and oranges filed the room. my heart stopped at the sight of a petite lady. she is no doubt the most beautiful woman I have ever set my eyes on her pink lips and straight white hair that contrasted greatly with her tan skin, she looked like a goddess.

" mine" I say standing up and reaching to her but she turns away from me and stares....
