More Than Your Manager (Fifth Harmony)

Chapter 4

"So...tell me about yourselves." I say.

"You don't know anything about us?" Normani ponders.

"I um... didn't really want to look you up. Just in case the information was false and I was forced to judge you as a person by that." I answered honestly, fiddling with my fingers.

"Wow I love you already girl." Dinah laughs and high fives me.

"THE PIZZA IS HERE!" Camila screams and jumps up and down. I suddenly remember I haven't eaten anything except that chocolate bar in the mini bar at the hotel and my stomach grumbles.

Lauren grabs both pizzas, puts them on the table and opens them up. "Your auncle knows us too well." Ally says digging into the pepperoni pizza.

"I know right. I could marry this Hawaiian pizza right now." Camila says, grabbing the biggest slice.

"Only because no one else takes any notice of you." Dinah shakes her head and pokes her tongue at Camila.

I look on amused when Camila pouts and throws a piece of pineapple at Dinah. I can't help but become sad as I remember the relationship my sister and I had. We were basically inseperable. Always going to the park and playing on the swings; later going there to hook up with boys our age. Cierra was the first person I came out to. She was there for me and I was there for her. We were best friends more than we were sisters.

But I wasn't able to be there for her after our mum died of breast cancer when I was 16. My little sister was only 15 years old when she took her own life and I'll never be able to forgive myself for not being strong enough for the both of us.

I had lost two of the most important people in my life in the space of 3 months.

"Isabela? Hellloooo?" I'm broken out of my dark thoughts by Lauren. I look at everyone's confused faces.

"Oh. Um I'm sorry. I've had a long day." It wasn't a total lie. Today has been pretty hectic.

"Well we thought we could tell you a bit about ourselves. But you look pretty tired so maybe tommorow?" Lauren says.

I shake my head no. "I want to know as much as possible now if that's alright with you." I look around at everyone.

"Okay well grab a slice of pizza and sit back. We will tell you the whole story." Lauren assures.

And they did. From their xfactor auditions to when they came third. How they got signed to Epic & Syco records and released their first single, Miss Movin' On. Lauren and Camila even told me about their rumored relationship and how it wasn't even real. By the time they finished it was almost 7pm and I was completely knackered.

"You guys have had an interesting life so far." I laugh and stand up. "I want to know more but I got up at 5.30 am this morning and I'm running on no sleep. Do you know how I can get back to my hotel?"

"Where you staying at girl?"

"Dinah she's our manager. Don't call her girl." Lauren scolds.

"Lauren it's fine. You can call me whatever you want as long as you respect me and we can work together so you can have the best of the careers you deserve."

Dinah grins at Lauren and gives her a why-don't-you-just-chill look. "And I'm staying at The Hollywood Grand Hotel." I add.

"No way that's where we're staying!" Camila basically yells. I wonder if she knows what an inside voice is.

"Big Rob's coming to pick us up right now Bela. Get a ride with us." Normani says while clearing the pizza boxes.

"Okay. Yeah that would be good." I nod and collect my things. I turn on my phone and notice 3 missed calls from my dropkick of a dad. As always I ignore it and shut off my phone. He's probably drunk off his head, passed out on the couch.

"You really are tired aren't you?" I'm pulled out of thoughts for the second time that day by Lauren. Her vibrant green eye's stare warmly into mine.

"Uh yeah I am." I feel my eyes and their heaviness and realise that I'm more tired than I originally thought.

"Good thing Big Rob's here; so we should go." Lauren follows behind me as we exit the studio and get into the van.

On arrival at the hotel, the girls and I find out they're all on the floor above me. We pile into the fancy elevator and before we know it I'm at my floor.

"Bye girls. I'm sorry to say this but unfortunately it's early calls. So I got a text from Simon. Camila and Dinah you have first makeup call at 5.00am tommorow morning. So have your alarm ready. You have an interview on Ellen at 10am. But you have to be their early." By the time I've finished my first official manager order, I feel like I'm about to pass out with lack of sleep. I go to step out of the elevator and almost fall over.

I feel a hand on back. "Bela are you okay?" It's Lauren and I nod my head and put my thumb up, indicating I'm fine.

"Maybe just make sure she gets back to her room Lo." Ally offers.

"Yeah okay. I'll be back in a minute." Lauren grabs my arm, making sure I stay upright. I just don't have any energy.

We make it to my room and I open my room door. "Thanks Lauren. I'll see you nice and early."

"Anything for you Bela. See you tommorow. Get some sleep okay?" And with that Lauren walks away.

After taking a long, hot shower and finding fresh clothes, I fall onto my queen sized bed, pull the covers over me and fall into a deep slumber.
