The pink haired male unsheathed his netherite blade, jumping at a chicken that was wandering past. He packed the meat in his bag after wrapping it in plastic, sighing a heavy breath.
There was a crack in some bushes a little bit away, and someone quietly scolded who Techno assumed to be the one who did it. This brought Techno onto his guard.
He found a place to hide, and caught sight of those with him. There was a group of them, about ten or twelve. They all seemed to have their weapons with them, some having shields on their arms. Techno watched closely, spotting the leader of the group.
The same flaming man as before- Sapnap, he thought his name was.
He carried his weapons with anger, eyes searching only for Techno and Tommy. The flames around his body were stronger than when they had engaged in the fight, charring some of the leaves that were far too close.
He must not have spoken to the Green God, otherwise he'd be at their house right now.
All was silent, Techno staying still until the large group had gone out of his sight. He decided to make his way home quickly, sure he wasn't being followed. Once he was home, he noticed Sally and Fundy. He ushered them inside, immediately closing the door.
"Phil." was all the Blood God had said, stepping into the doorframe of the living room, his thoughts stopping immediately once he'd heard glass shatter.
The once filled tea mug belonging to Techno was now shattered on the floor, whatever remaining tea now trailing along the hardwood. Techno's eyes landed on who had thrown the mug, an angry Wilbur standing by the couch. As soon as the brunet spotted his son (who was behind Techno), his facial expression changed to regret. He averted his eyes, walking out the back door. Techno looked to Phil, who looked remorseful.
Kristen sighed, motioning for Sally to bring the 16 1/2 year old fox out of the room while the other three cleaned up and talked through what had happened, to which Sally complied- bringing the fox boy out of the room.
"What happened?" Techno was the first to talk amongst the three adults, hanging his cape on the coat rack as he took the mop from Kristen after rolling his sleeves, the mother having filled the bucket after signalling to Sally.
"Wilbur didn't dismiss the topic." was all the blond old man said, standing up. "Someone should probably go look for him."
"Give him some time, Phil." Kristen said, placing a hand on her husband's shoulder, soothing him.
"I will go after I've cleaned up." Techno spoke, wringing the mop dry as he'd finished cleaning the tea.
"I can take it from here." Phil said, going for the broom before Techno sighed. "Go make sure the boy is okay."
"Fine." the Blood God spoke, setting the mopping supplies aside and grabbing his cloak. "Third times a charm." he mumbled to himself, following the path he'd assumed Wilbur had gone.
It was getting chilly, the time being around five in the afternoon. Wilbur had left without a jacket, or a hat for that matter. Techno saw broken branches, and started to worry. He spotted a letter tied down to a rock, a flame engraved in the wax seal. His eyes danced as he looked for signs of the scout group, seeing no trace but that they left behind. He also saw no sign of Wilbur.
With tense hands, the usually relaxed and smooth Blood God grabbed the letter. He broke the wax seal, pulling out the letter with calloused fingers. He unfolded it, eyes dancing over the words as he skim read it.
The only thing he paid attention to was "hostage. 10 days. Kill him, unless you bring Tommy."
