After breakfast, Tommy went back to his room, ignoring his father when he asked what Techno had talked to him about. If Tommy was supposed to save his brother in the ten- he guessed now nine and a bit- days the paper had said, he needs to plan and prepare for the following nine days, then actually go on the tenth. He also figured that was what Techno and his father was going to do, as Phil was one to like to have at least a fragment of a plan.

Tommy had decided, rain or shine, injuries or not, gut wrenching and agonising pain, he was going to risk his life to save his brother. If Techno didn't want him there to fight for his brother, he still would. He really didn't care what his father wanted, as he seemed really not to care what happened to Tommy- it showed by the way Phil had let Tommy out for the past two days even injured.

With a whole lot of planning, and time taken, Tommy didn't even realise that it was almost dinner time. He'd spent the day cooped up in his room- which was unusual for him-, writing away on his plans and sleeping. He'd come up with this.

He'd follow Techno and his father secretly, then jump out at the least expected time to save his brother, being the hero and taking the win from Techno- solely to prove that he can do this, even with the injured state he was in.

It was a selfish plan, even when Wilbur's life was on the line- not to mention he was going against the Green God, as well as probably the two he fought yesterday, after all, Techno did kill their friend.

Shoving the thoughts of his plans aside, he closed his notebook and sighed as he pushed himself away from his desk. He stood from his rolly chair, stretching his back- cursing in pain after remembering his injury. He heard Sally's voice sing out that it was time for dinner, so he ran a hand through his hair and changed his whole demeanour before heading out of his room and into the dining room.

"Hello, my boy. Seems you haven't been around today?" Phil asked, trying to see if something was up with his son.

Tommy guessed Techno hadn't told Phil that he knew, let alone that the boy was probably planning something.

"I've been resting, back injuries really do something to ya'. You'd know, since you're such an old man!" Tommy joked as he sat down at his seat, arms resting against the edge of the wood.

"That's not nice, hon." Kristen scolded, placing food on the table before she sat down.

Dinner went smoothly, everyone eating with smiles, conversing as though Tommy wasn't plotting his life away- they didn't know, anyway.

Once dinner had finished, Tommy excused himself from the table, and started to rush off to his room. He spotted Techno looming around his room, almost waiting for Tommy. When the Blood God spotted Tommy, he moved from resting against the wall in front of the youngest's door, to then walking downstairs.

Tommy feared he'd left his plan out in the open, before he spotted it neatly tucked under a book which covered the words he'd written down- it looked like homework. He decided his plan was simple enough, grabbing the paper and shoving it away in his junk paper drawer. He made sure to fold it once and hide it under a small stack of other papers just in case.

Once he'd decided he'd had enough of the day, his back really acting up now, he laid down in his bed and decided to let himself fall asleep- totally let himself (he didn't).

Techno figured Tommy was up to something behind their backs, which was why he was scanning the boy's room. He wanted- rather, needed- to see what he was planning, if he'd left anything to hint his plans out in the open. He saw nothing. The most suspicious thing he'd seen was a book- Tommy never reads books-, but what else did the boy have now that he was hurting. It was a harmless book, too, one his English teacher had assigned him to work on.

Techno decided it was enough stalking of the room when he noticed Tommy's loud footsteps up the stairs, and stood off the wall. He nodded to the youngest, before walking to his own room.

The next day was just like the last, Tommy in his room- actually resting when he wasn't eating a meal or doing homework at his desk-, and the rest of the family resuming their daily activities. Around the middle of the day, Tommy watched out of his window, eyes watching as Sally and Kristen were in the garden. The girls harvested the crops that were ready, Tommy watching as Sally danced around the field while Kristen smiled and giggled at the other mother.

Techno had come into Tommy's room, with the offering of a cup of tea to help his mood.

"I'm not some old man." Tommy had joked, yet still took the warm mug from his uncle- at least, he thought of him that way. "But thank you."

The next three days were relatively the same; Tommy in his room, healing bit by bit- his wound had actually scabbed, and the stitches were now going to stay in till taken out, or if he ripped them-, the rest of the family doing their daily activities. He guessed that Techno and Phil were still planning, Phil always liked to plan until the end.

Tommy had felt well enough to go back to training on the seventh day, so he had at least gotten that much in. On the tenth day, Techno and Phil were distant. Tommy had overheard Phil telling Kristen he might not be back, and to tell Sally, Fundy, and Tommy what had happened. That was when Tommy knew that Techno hadn't told Phil about his eavesdropping.

That was when Tommy knew he could follow through with his plan, because Techno can't look around for him without Phil questioning, and Techno never lies to Phil.

When Phil and Techno left, the pig man had made sure to see that Tommy was in his bed, asleep- little did he know, Tommy wasn't actually asleep, he was faking it.

When they actually left, Tommy knew it was his time to strike.
