I kept going and stopping and things like that. I had to find a cave and rest there for the night. I was losing energy, and fast. I soon found a cave, and it didn't have an animal in it, and I put Eve down on the ground and then I laid down and slept.

I soon woke up to the sound of voices. They weren't the voices of the shadow creatures though. I opened my eyes and saw two men standing there.

"Who are you?" I asked. One of the men replied, "I am John Taylor and this is my friend, James Wright. Who are you?" "I'm William Smith," I said. "Wait, wait, wait. THE William Smith? Like as in William Adam Smith from Lchoy?!" John said. "Yeah, why?" I asked, confused. "Come with us. You and your friend aren't safe here. This place is crawling with shadow creatures and dangerous animals.

I hesitated, but I soon went with them to their small village. I followed him while barely carrying Eve and my satchel.

I was immediately greeted by lots of people from his village. They were asking me way too many questions and I haven't eaten or drinken anything for a few days, so I couldn't answer all of them. I was still tired, too. I needed rest, food, and water.

"John?" I said. "Yeah?" John said. "I need rest, food, and water," I replied, with my vision going slightly blurry. James seemed to understand. "How long have you gone without food, water, or rest?" John asked. "Three days, I think? I've gotten some rest, but not enough" I said tiredly.

John started clapping his hands and saying, "Alright everybody!! Listen up!! William here hasn't had food or water for three days! Let's get him some food and water!!" And just like that, everyone started getting food and water for me, Eve, and the kittens. It was crazy. People were going left and right, setting up a table, putting plates on the table, putting glasses on the table, you know, that kind of stuff.

Pretty soon, the table was ready and Eve woke up.

"What happened?" Asked Eve, confused. "Well, the spirit and you were saying your names, as if you two were fighting over who you were, so I had to knock you out. And now we're in a village and we can finally eat food and drink water," I said, feeling like I'm going to pass out. "Okay..." Eve said.

Eve and I walked to the table and I put the kittens on the table and our dishes were soon filled with food. The kittens got food as well.

"So, what are you doing so far away from home?" John asked. I finished chewing my food and said, "The God of Shadows became evil after the incident with his daughter and has been trying to get a package she gave me after the incident." "Well, what's in the package?" John asked. "It's a crystal. Not just any crystal, though. It's called the Crystal of Life and it can only be used once. If a pure soul, or a good soul to put it in simpler terms, were to bring the person back to life, the person they brought back wouldn't be evil. You know?" I explained to John. "So is this crystal rare?" John asked. "Very. So if the God of Shadows were to get a hold of it, then the person I'm trying to bring back would be evil as well." I explained. "And why bring the kittens with you?" John asked, confused. "Well, the God of Shadows got a hold of apparently a form of the many transformation crystals and turned all the other gods and goddesses into kittens," I explained, glancing at the kittens. "I see. Well, enjoy your food, we'll allow you to get some rest here, and you can continue your journey in the morning?" John asked. "Sounds perfect!" I said.

Eve, the kittens, and I soon were full and we followed James to his house and went inside.

"This is my home, I have a secret place that is heavily lit all the time, so you don't have to worry about the God of Shadows using his minions," John said as James walked inside.

"John! I'm home!" I heard James yell. "I'm over here!" John yelled. James soon walked in and hugged John from behind, not knowing Eve and I were there. "James! We have guests!" John said. "Oh gosh. I am so sorry. Please don't tell anyone." James pleaded. "I'm guessing you two are a secret couple?" I whispered. "Yeah... We are..." John whispered. "Don't worry, I won't tell a soul. You wanna know why?" I asked. "Sure," James said. "I'm attracted to men myself," I whispered. James and John looked really happy. "You are?!" John whispered excitedly. "Yep! I sure am!" I whispered. "That's wonderful! You and your friend should probably get some rest if you want to continue your journey tomorrow!" James said. "We will. Thank you both," I said as I descended the ladder.
