"welcome and come in Astra."
We entered a hallway, with maple coloured floors; the hallway was long with three dark brown doors on either side of us and one door staring at us at the end, seven in total.
"These are staff flats, I have a extra room next to your left, the middle door. You can go on inside and make yourself at home." She smiled and walked me to my door.
I looked at her and mirrored her the same smile and nodded, not that she could see much of my face as my hood covered majority of it... I don't know how Cass managed to not acknowledge it and not once did she every attempt to press me to take it off. Cass had a comfortable vibe around her that made me feel safe even though I just met her.
"Thank you for your kindness lady Cass and your father Albert, I cannot thank you two enough. I need to repay you both, do you know of any places hiring here?" I asked worriedly.
Cass politely sighed, and blinked her green eyes then fell on me.
"You're welcome Astra and we we'll worry about that later, tomorrow. Just go rest today and get settled for today, I will come check on you." Cass informed me.
"Thank you Cass, I'm forever grateful." I said and slipped my hood off to expose my whole face.
Cass gasped as she took in my appearance, dark chestnut brown hair with medium amber eyes with a slight golden tan.
"Wow you're incredibly beautiful." Cass awed.
I blushed in response nobody had ever called me that not even my family or relatives except my grandfather.
"Thank you." I replied back sheepishly.
Cass surprisingly hugged me.
"I'm sorry but I have to go now. I need to get back and run things downstairs before chaos arises, if you need anything come find me or my husband downstairs." she chuckled.
Right as she was going to leave Cass turned back around with a sudden knowing face as if she had a sudden recollection over something and started digging inside her grey apron front pocket.
"Oh I nearly forgot, here's the keys for your room. Not me bringing you all the way up here for you to stare at your door all day." she joked.
Cass threw the keys at me (which I did catch) and then went off quickly.

I opened the door to my new home, it was medium sized place and perfect size for me. The kitchen was open spaced and to the left, a beige sofa set in the middle of the room, light walls and a large window behind the sofa area, with green drawn open curtains. The walls a pearl colour and two doors next to one another to the far right, which I assume to be a bathroom then my bedroom next to it.
I gently closed my front door, I felt a wave of emotions: grateful, anger, love, excitement but the most prominent emotion was the feeling of uncertainty - unknowing.
Everything in my past, though it was certainly not the best time in my life was something I was used to. Everything was predictable, boring and life draining but now it was different now I had freedom.
In all honesty, I felt overwhelmed... things could change so fast and at the snap of a finger. I could only dream of this and now it was my reality, I was finally free. Away from them.
I took off my cloak and placed it on a chair, I slipped off my dirty shoes and placed to the side of the front door. I breathed the new air, I danced and twirled in the living area. After I walked over to my bedroom, which was small, quaint but enough. It had the same plain white walls as the rest of the place , with a comfy bed with a wooden frame, a dark wooden desk, a bedside table to the left.
I felt free, euphoric, I danced, giggled and jumped on my bed.
After I felt exhausted and laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling, I then was engulfed in the darkness and dozed off into a deep sleep.
