"Caroline?" My brother rushed forward when she threw her head back grunting. She released tears stumbling backwards. "It's contractions!" Damon looks to me releasing tears about his friend Liz dying. "Caroline love. Tell me what's happening." Klaus rests his hands on her shoulders hoping that they'll pass but she moaned loudly before water appears down her legs, making her cry out. "Klaus, something is wrong - urg - the baby is coming!"

Caroline is wheeled into a room with nurses surrounding her as she screamed in pain. Klaus stands at her bedside taking her hand in his that she nearly breaks when she felt another wave of contractions. "Why is this happening now....first I lose my mom and now this!" She croaked out in tears. Damon reentered the room with Jo who was the doctor on call tonight. "Okay, two other people can be in here. Who's it going to be?" She waved her hands between us. My brother raised his hand answering. "I'm the father." I hold up my hand taking the second spot. "I'll stay." Alaric and Damom went to the waiting room as she changed into scrubs moving a chair at the bottom of the bed.

"Errr I can't do this Y/n...I'm not strong like mom...not without her!" My sister sobbed hearing Jo telling her to push which she does but the baby isn't out yet. Intertwining my hands with hers I squeeze it glancing to my brother who fights tears from coming out by the amount of pain she is causing his hand even though he's an immortal hybrid. "Care, lisen to me. You are so strong. You're the strongest person I know. Mom...mom wanted to tell us both how proud of us she was..." I encourage her as she pushes for a few more hours, the next time I looked at the clock on the wall it was early the next morning that we heard a baby's crying. Caroline layed her head back feeling extremely tired watching Jo wrap the baby up in a blanket smiling. "Congratulations, it's a girl."

Jo slowly hands her over to my brother and the moment he's holding her tears come out with the biggest smile I'll probably ever see appears on his face. The little girl opened her eyes for the first time looking up at the man she would call father. After a few seconds he lays the baby in Caroline's arms and she started crying again but this time they're happy tears. "She's ours, Klaus." She breaths out loving to hold something so innocent in her arms. He kissed her hair whispering as he gazed down upon his girl too. "She's our little princess...our Hope." My head shot up at the name so I reached over taking her little pinky in my hand, mumbling in a baby voice. "That's her name, Hope...hi Hope it's auntie Y/n."

The infant tries forming a smile but she's not old enough yet. "Hope..." Klaus voiced before Caroline tilts her head mentioning a name. "I always thought Andrea was a good name." Jo came to see the newborn now changed out of her dirty scrubs, leaning on her hands on the side of the bed. "Why not put the two names together?" Both parents smiled down at the little girl declaring. "Hope Andrea Mikaelson." Alaric and Damon entering the room grinning at the child. The rest of the Mikealson siblings came in a few days later to see the newest member of the family. I wiped away tears wishing that mom could've held on a little while longer to see at least one of her grandchildren. But I have to believe she's watching down on us from heaven. Alaric leans down whispering in my ear. "I can't wait until we have ours. Would you be mad if I still wanted a girl." I chuckled leaning back into his chest feeling him drape his arms over my stomach. I intertwined our hands watching my little infant niece sleep in my sister's arms. "No I might actually be leaning more towards a girl anyhow."

2 years later
"Ric, it's happening!" I screamed feeling contractions in my back this morning. Caroline and my brother had come back from New Orleans since my due date was getting closer. Ric gets us into the hospital and Jo was in the room already prepared. Caroline came in the room on the other side of my bed hearing me crying. "Hey, just focus on me. Okay." She said taking my hand in hers Alaric takes my other one and it takes a much longer time before we heard a baby's cry. "It's a girl." Jo started wrapping the baby up when I winced feeling more contractions hitting against my stomach. Alaric brushes hair from my face trying to figure out why I'm still hurting. "Jo, what's happening. Why is she still in pain." Caroline leans forward using her vampire hearing and gasped at what she heard.

Jo and her shared the same look before she pulled her gloves back on ordering me. "Okay you have to keep pushing." Lifting my head up I felt a wave of pain with my heart beating faster. "God...Jo...why!" I clutch my husband's hand pushing some more even though I'm tired from the first time. Finally after a few more long pushes another baby's cry fills the room. "Oh I wish I was wrong." Jo slowly mumbled under her breath looking between the two girls wrapped in blankets. "Wrong about what Jo?" I asked having Ric fix my pillow so I could sit up better. She picks up the first baby handing it to Ric. Coming over and giving me the second one before she slowly revealed out. "They're twins...both girls." Alaric and I turned our heads in thr others direction fear written on our faces for a few seconds.

Staring down at the girl in my arms smiling the biggest I think ever possible. Ric does the same at the other twin in his arms looking down at me suggesting. "I think we should call that one Josie." I smiled nodding in agreement watching our other daughter in his arms. "What should we name her?" He smiled hopeful that you'll like the name he picked. "This is Elizabeth, after your mother." I feel tears falling down my cheeks at hearing the nention of our mother. Even though we had a funeral for her. The fact that she's gone is still fresh in our minds. "Ric I - it's perfect." He leans down kissing me softly laying our second child in my lap before the door opened. Caroline enters with Klaus and a 2 year old Hope in her mother's arms. "They're so innocent. Rebekah will want to spoil them." My brother smiled picking up Lizzie first smiling. Caroline sits Hope on my bed so she can hold Josie as my smiled turned into a worried look. "Jo said what happens to twins, Alaric....how are we going to protect them from that?" Alaric pulled up a chair taking my hand in his kissing my hand trying to stay hopeful. "Y/n, lisen to me. Let's worry about that tomorrow. Today let's just be happy we have two beautiful girls." Resting my freehand to his cheek I simply nodded smiling at our little family. Seeing Hope touching the twins who she will call her cousins. A family that is bonded together by more than just blood.
