Mikaelson Goodbye

Nik glanced my direction running his fingers through my fur. I press my head into his hand hearing him to whisper kissing my forehead. "I love you, little sis. You and I shall always be connected not just by blood. But by our wolf sides." Hope howls running off and I chased after her trying to enjoy this moment of freedom. But I wish I wouldn't have to say goodbye to my hybrid brother.

Caroline's POV - 2 days ago
Blinking my eyes I smiled feeling strong arms around my waist. Klaus looks at peace when he is sleeping. Not all paranoid about hus enemies coming for Hope and I. My sister and Ric have been visiting for years. Sometimes they come here and we go to them in Mystic Falls. It's all in the hopes that our girls can become closer. "It's rude to stare, love." He mumbled in his deep morning voice with a smile. Finally opening his eyes to see me blush my hair falling in front of my eyes. He reached up tucking it behind my ear pulling my lips slowly down onto his.

"I love you, Caroline. I love you and our little wolf." He mumbled as I kissed back running his fingers through my hair until a recuse happened downstairs. We both vamped to see Hope with cuts on her arms with broken lights around her. This magic force had taken her body and was slowly killing her. We didn't know what to do with it just yet. "Sweetheart, are you alright?" I rushed to her hugging her into my chest as she wrapped her arms around my neck. Glancing back at Klaus he has a terrified look on his face watching his two girls standing before him.

Later that evening Klaus stands on the balcony gazing out onto New Orleans so I stand in the middle of the room speaking first. "We need to find a way to save her, Klaus. She's our daughter." He spun around slowly walking up and intertwining my hands with his." Don't worry love. I already have one in mind. Y/n has Siphon daughters, they can take it from her and put it into something else." I tilt my head to the side biting my lip in thought. "And put into what. A jar or something?" He shakes his head opening a wooden cabinet in the corner, pulling out a stake where I gasp resting my hands over my mouth. "The white oak stake...Klaus you don't have to take it from her." He sits it down cupping my face in his hands wiping away tears that had started falling from my eyes. "Caroline, you and her are my world. Who gave me love so I can do an honorable death." I nod hugging him sniffling through tears.

Y/n's POV
Hope found out that he wanted to sacrifice himself to save her and she didn't take it well. Rebekah, Kol and Elijah even came to Orleans to have one last family moments together. Standing on the balcony staring up at the moon Caroline's voice pulls me from my trance. "Ric told me about your idea of starting a school for supernatural kids." She leans on her elbows beside me, drinking some blood from a bag. Turning my head in her direction I smiled. The twins powers have been getting stronger so Ric and I think we should help the next generation. And so we decided to name the school after Damon and Stefan Salvatore since it would be created inside their old boarding house.

"I want you to take Hope back with you to Mystic Falls. She'll do better being at the school then anywhere else." I raise my brows at my sister's words. "You're not coming with us. Why?" She pulls out a picture of our girls all together when they were three years old. "Klaus is sacrificing himself to save our daughter. So I think I should be the one to find out how to save your daughter's." Reaching forward I placed my hand over hers. "Care, you don't have to do that. Hope needs her mother." She turned to face me with a loving smile. "Y/n, you and Ric will be busy running a school. So I can do this. I can try and save them." I sighed heavily nodding my head slowly before we walked downstairs seeing Hope and my brother alone, meaning he's about to leave for good.

My sister stepped up to him throwing her arms around his neck trying to not cry but failing. "This is the man I always saw past the killer hybrid...Klaus I...I love you....I will love you, forever." He pulls away cupping her face in his hands resting his forehead down to hers. "I'll love you forever too, Caroline. You and our little wolf are the light in my life." He presses his lips onto hers wrapping his arms around her waist. She slowly kissed him back until she broke it wiping away tears that keep coming. I step up throwing my arms around his neck and he immediately responds with the same embrace. "I don't want to let you go. It's too soon brother. I didn't know you...I love you, Klaus." I sniffed into his jacket feeling him plant a kiss to my forehead burying his face into my hair. "I did it to protect you, Y/n. But I'm amazed at the woman you were raised to be. With adorable twin niece's. You and Caroline take care of each other...I love you, my little sis."

Hope and Klaus hugged with heavy tears before he exited the door causing her to rush to her mother's arms and they both cried. Opening the door to the twins room I smiled seeing they are cuddling together fast asleep. Foosteps approached behind me and they whispered as to not wake them up. "I just saw him go. How are you holding up?" Spinning on my feet I nearly tackle Ric where he stumbled backwards a little. He wrapped his strong arms around me feeling my sobs staining his shirt. "Ssshh baby, I'm here. You'll get through this. I'll be here, always." He mumbled kissing my forehead when we pulled away. The drive back to Mystic Falls was quite. Caroline decided to bring Hope to the school in a few weeks giving her time to spend with the rest of her family. Resting my chin in the palm of my hand I stare out the window until I felt Ric take my other hand in his. Turning my head his direction he slips my moonlight ring above my wedding ring smiling as we reached the sign entering the town.

"When I first came to Mystic Falls all I wanted to do was kill the vampire that took my wife. I didn't think I'd have anything else. Until you." He spoke once we parked the car in front of school. Unlocking my seatbelt I squeeze his hand in mine smiling back. "When I came home I was afraid of myself. Until you bought me a drink and totally embraced me." He kisses my forehead opening his door and I followed. Opening the backseat picking up a sleeping Lizzie and Ric's crossbow. Leaving him to get Josie and the bag of weapons. Walking up the stairs we put them into their beds. I take a seat on the couch in front of the fireplace seeing a pile of new mail sitting beside me. Opening one of the envelopes I smiled with happy tears seeing a large check from Nik. Alaric draped his arm over my shoulder sitting down seeing me smile. "I thought that would make you feel better. Although when Hope comes here it will be weird having her call me Uncle Ric." I chuckled along with him, laying my head on his chest. "I think that's the easiest chance we can handle. We're literally housing every supernatural creature on the planet. Normal is over-rated, Ric." He tilts my chin up kissing me. "It sure is over-rated, Y/n Saltzman."
