3 years later
Ric and I had decided to take a trip to New Orleans to spend time with my niece Hope. The twins are three years old making Hope five. Caroline and I have video chatted about how things have been. My brother has claimed his rightful place as King or at least that's what he called it. Labeling Hope as his little wolf princess. Entering the quarter Alaric carries Josie as I walked with Lizzie in my arms. "Klaus, we're here!" I hollered searching the house for him until foosteps came down the stairs seeing my sister who hugged me once I put Lizzie on her feet beside me. "Oh I've missed you." She groans happily before I broke the hug smiling back at her. "Same about you, Care."

"So where's my brother?" I asked finally used to calling Klaus that after years of thinking it's still crazy. Caroline turns her head lisening off in the distance until walking up the stairs having the four of us following behind her. Entering an open dinning room she gasped seeing a table just covered in deserts with him and Hope licking icing off their fingers. "Klaus, I said no more compelling the backers for sweets." Klaus just chuckled before Josie and Lizzie ran forward grabbing some for themselves. "They're kids, love. Sweets are something they like." Caroline pinched the bridge of her nose scolding him. "You'll regret it later when they're bouncing off the walls not tired for bed tonight."

Klaus got to his feet coming to hug me and I throw my arms around his neck grinning feeling his arms squeeze my waist. Rebekah was off with Marcel someone who my brother turned during our time apart. Elijah is apparently off in France but Kol doesn't mention where he is at the time. "I put our bags upstairs, Y/n." Alaric said coming from the spare room and I leaned up kissing him. He kisses me slowly until we heard three ewws coming from our children. We break away shackiing our heads grinning. "So what do you want to see first, sis. We could visit the bayu or the quarter...oh wait the vampires run that so it might not be good for Ric." Caroline layed her head on my brother's arm. Alaric held up his hand shacking his head. "I've already married a werewolf. Why not take on a vampire again."

All of chuckled before the giggling of girls seeing them running around the table throwing food at each other. Lizzie grabbed the chair leg turning it red mumbling a foreign language before throwing lifting a pile of food towards Hope. Hope waved her hands before Josie siphoned Hope stopping her. "Girls!" I scolded rushing forward to the ground. Lizzie crossed her arms over her chest looking at the ground. "Oh Lizzie's in trouble." Josie taunted to her twin making Ric push her towards their room. "Upstairs now both of you!" Caroline picked up Hope sitting her on the table with a serious face. "That wasn't nice." Klaus crossed his arms over his chest staring at me. Running a hand through my hair I sighed starting to pick up the food they threw.

Hours later I lean on the railing overlooking the city of New Orleans. Being able to watch all the little people walking on the streets. The wind blowing through my hair while Ric is busy putting the twins to bed who are still hyped up on sugar. Foosteps come up behind me and I felt my brother's eyes staring at me. "Those girls of yours are having trouble getting along with Hope." I sighed looking into his blue eyes knowing that in the past they're here been fights between the three girls. "Hopefully when they're older it won't be so bad...I can see why you like this spot." I trailed off changing the subject when he leans his elbows on the railing. "It makes me feel like a king, little sis." He glanced to me lightly smiling as he asked me. "Would you and Alaric ever consider moving the girls here. You know to New Orleans?" Tilting my head to the side I rest my chin in the palm of my left hand. "I'm not sure, why?"

"Elijah would say something along the lines that family is stronger together than apart. But my reason for asking is so I can spend more time with you." Turning to face him I smiled up at my brother and he turned to face me crossing his arms over his chest. "Awe Klaus. I want to spend more time with you too. But...I think I'll always belong in Mystic Falls. I may be a Mikaelson but I am a small town girl." He simply nodded before I walked forward hugging him and he hugs me back. "Just promise me something little sis." He breaths out sitting me on my feet with my hands resting on his chest. "Anything." Klaus stares at me with those blue eyes smiling. "Promise me that no matter what happens. You'll take care of my daughter, if something was to happen." Squeezing my hands into the fabric of his Grey shirt I shake my head smiling at my brother. "I promise. But we don't have to worry about that Klaus. We're always gonna be on this earth together." Laying my head on his chest we both turned looking out onto the busy streets.
