JISOO
I barely managed to have dinner that night. My stomach is twisting and queasy, maybe it's anxiety for Haein's return. I'm still not used to him always having to make these trips, even if it lasts between 1-3 days, and we've been married for 4 years, even though we're so young, I still haven't gotten used to his absence.
I roll over on the bed and caress my belly under my pajama top. It was a shock when we found out I couldn't get pregnant. Apparently my womb doesn't like disturbances and has decided on its own that it would never house any babies inside it.
It was the first time I felt so afraid in my life. Whenever Haein and I went to the park or any more "free" walk, I saw that sparkle in his eyes, when he saw a child and my eyes also sparkled just to have this smiling, black-haired man there by my side.
Even though we got married at a young age, for most people, him being 21 and me only 19, we fell in love and everything is still strong and pure and beautiful between us. We still act like a couple of teenagers in love and there isn't a day that I don't think of him with all the love in my heart, just as I know he thinks of me the same way. I see it clearly in his eyes and in the smiles he gives me.
I just want...no, it's not just this, I need him back soon. I know that only when he hugs me will things go back to normal and everything inside me will be less agitated, less anxious, less worried. And it's thinking about being in my husband's embrace that I end up falling asleep when it's already dawn.
I let out a frustrated groan as I wake up in the morning to the hot sunbeams on my face. As usual, I run my hand along my side and face the empty and icy space, I let out another moan even louder when I remember the sad reality. I jump up, stretching and smiling as I remember that in a few hours Haein will land on the company's helipad.
After a long shower, I get dressed and head downstairs, towards the kitchen, bumping into the tall blonde in front of me.
"I was just going to wake up you." Rosé's angelic voice echoes down the hall and I end up smiling at her.
"Good morning, Chaengie!" I pinch her cheeks "Have you had breakfast? I'm starting to get hungry, yesterday I barely ate for dinner."
"I would make you go downstairs, even wearing pajamas, exactly for that reason, because I'm hungry." She makes a suffering expression and puts her hand on her belly.
"Aish, squirrel! You're so cute!" I pinch her cheek before walking again "What's our agenda today?"
"Our? Yours, you mean."
"Chaeng, you can be my personal secretary while working on your songs, but you know you're like a sister to me." I sigh and sit on one of the stools, patting the seat next to her for her to join me.
"I'm already starting to lose hope with music. It's all so difficult!" she throws herself on the counter, sighing and I sigh along with her. Since she was a child, Rosie has always been passionate about music, but her parents never accepted it and even kicked her out of the house. My parents helped her in and we've been inseparable ever since.
"But I told you that I or Hae..." She puts her hand under mine and straightens up in her chair, giving me a serious look.
"Jichu, I know how big of a heart you are and I know that your husband wouldn't mind talking to some people to help me either, but I want to conquer this on my own merits." The blonde girl squeezes my hand, as if asking me to be patient and let her walk alone.
"Okay" I let out a sigh "But your music is good, you're an amazing singer. I'm disgusted that these assholes won't give you a chance just because you don't accept their dirty talk." I pout and she flashes that wonderful smile at me.
"Going back to our schedule" the emphasis on ours makes me smile "You have lunch with your parents and also scheduled to meet your sister in the afternoon."
"Argh!" I grimace as I imagine how much my parents will annoy me. Don't get me wrong, I really love them, but they are extremely controlling and conservative.
If they helped Chaeng in on the one hand, on the other, they kicked out my sister, Irene, because she married a girl who was completely crazy and in love with her, named Seulgi. I've never understood how someone can be attracted to another person of the same sex, but I don't care about that, everyone leads life as they want and I'm super happy with my heterosexuality.
I even think it was one of my parents' greatest happiness when I introduced them to Haein. They approved at first, especially after learning that Haein was heir to one of the biggest conglomerates of companies in different areas. Their happiness was not that Haein was rich, but that they would finally have someone in charge of my family business, since Irene was banned and I had no idea what to do about all those roles, numbers and decisions. important.
"No improvement in their relationship?" Rosé says with her mouth full, while chewing a toast with jam.
"My dream that there was at least 1 millimeter of evolution there" I take a sip of the hot coffee in my cup and shake my head in denial, facing the wall in front of me "What time will Haein arrive? I don't think I've ever missed him as much as I did this time."
"I believe it's late afternoon, you silly in love." She pinches my nose, making me laugh and sigh.
"What can I do? That man stole my heart the moment we first saw each other." I smile and close my eyes when I remember how it all happened, but then a relatively loud noise, close to us, makes me open my eyes. I see Bobby, my driver, panting and red-faced, looking like he's run a marathon to get here. Even your suit is messed up on your body. "Come on Bob, sit down and have some juice, I think you need it." I point with my chin to the seat across the counter, in front of me.
"Miss... Jis-soo" he stutters and turns the TV on. He's looking from the TV to me, as if he's panicked. I frown as I hear Rosé drop the cup of latte she's been drinking, at the same time my phone starts to ring.
Before I can take the call or understand what's going on with the world, Rosé turns me toward the huge screen next to us and I gape, blinking slowly and feel my body start to shake.
"URGENT: IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THE HELICOPTER WHERE KIM JUNG HAEIN WAS CRASHED NEAR NEW HAVEN AND UNFORTUNATELY, NO OCCUPANTS SURVIVED, ACCORDING TO LOCAL AUTHORITIES."
updates will be slow because I haven't finished this fic yet, enjoy :)
