Don't look down, Jungkook, don't look down, Jungkook tells himself, but he can't help but lower his eyes to Jimin's stomach where Jimin still has one of his hands put on when the omega mentions the currently growing pup. He looks back up again in less than a second but he's sure Jimin caught him stealing a glance at his pretty round stomach. Jungkook, who has been trying not to breathe in through his nose and thus automatically breathe in Jimin's heavenly scent, inhales deeply.

Carrying two bags full of groceries three floors up is no problem for the average human being but especially for an alpha like Jungkook who works out regularly. Opening the front door to his flat while carrying two bags of groceries is a little harder even for an alpha like Jungkook. It's those stupid paper bags that have nothing to hold onto but need to be carried in one's arms. Yeah, paper bags are more recyclable, and nature friendly but plastic bags are easier to reuse.

Refusing to put the paper bags down because Jungkook can't lose to paper bags even if they're full of heavy grocery, Jungkook opens the door with one arm, balancing the bags in one arm and on his lifted thigh. He opens the door finally and immediately puts the bags on the kitchen counter. He groans, rolls his shoulders, and can't wait to make this spicy chicken stir fry. He has been dreaming of it since days, salivating after the image of it but has never been free enough to make it, too tired after the hectic days of work where he barely managed to find his way to his bed before he fell down on it, sometimes even still in his suit.

Now that the case has been finally and successfully ended, Jungkook has enough time to reward himself with the delicacy. He's going to make a full pot and finish it in one go. Jungkook jumps under the shower fast and then gets back into the kitchen, opens the window to let in fresh air and let the scent of the cooking get out. Apron and radio on, and ingredients laid out in front of him, Jungkook starts preparing the dish of his fantasy.

Jungkook loves cooking. He likes standing there and concentrate on creating a perfect and delicious dish that brings smiles on people's faces. The chopping sound helps him calm down and the attempt to make it perfect makes it quasi-impossible for him to think of anything else other than the recipe. As a kid, he loved to stand in his mothers' kitchen and would be delighted when his mom allowed him and his momma to taste the food in between cooking. As he got older, he helped washing and stirring until he was allowed to cut and then prepare full dishes on his own.

It's fascinating how he can prepare different dishes from the same ingredients and how food tastes different in each country or even parts of one country. For some time, he was obsessed with making a proper dish out of as little ingredients as possible and experimented a lot. He did taste quite disgusting things during this time, but he has only learned from it.

His mother used to joke that they have quite the chef in their household and that he'd become the best of the world after he made sure to check out each restaurant in Kyoto during a holiday with his mothers. The only thing he managed to do was make himself sick with the excessive amount of food he ate but it was worth it. He just can no longer eat too much fishcake. And Jungkook never intended to be a chef, always wanted cooking to be a hobby rather than a profession. He somehow became a lawyer.
