"Mother Talzin was wrong," Dooku struck with Force lightning from his hands, throwing Savage to the other side of the room. His contempt was as generous as the charge of his powers. "You are weak. Even more pathetic than your predecessor."

As if the mention of her was a cue, Ventress arrived, standing proudly by the doorframe. "Having fun without me?"

"Ventress." The count did not sound surprised. "Here to reclaim your title as my biggest disappointment?"

"There's only one failure in this Force-forsaken room." She approached the Zabrak and used magicks to remind him of his loyalties. "Savage, darling, it's time to...wake...up." She tapped his forehead twice to awaken the bond between them. Asajj smirked and took a fighting stance alongside the Nightbrother.

Now Dooku was surprised. But the shock was quick to turn into realization, then hatred. "Talzin. That treacherous witch-"

"Sorry to crash your party, count," Obi-Wan's voice interrupted Dooku's focus, causing his grip to loosen.

Anakin added, "I'm not."

Both Jedi stood by the door, lightsabers raised. Dooku was deciding whether to engage or retreat.

His decision was made for him.

Asajj threw a coughing fit 'til she recovered her breath. "We're not done, master." She straightened up and reactivated her twin blades. "I'm just getting started."

"Very well. If you must," the count followed suit. "But you only embarrass yourself."
