Four boys sat in the office that day, two being expelled for beating Emil so brutally, one given time off of school to tend to his little brother at home and the other suspended for beating up the tormentors, which had admitted to it, in the first place.
Leon had been invited over to stay during his suspension by Lukas, the older brother not minding having the boy that practically saved his brother's life. Emil was laid in his room, suffering a minor concussion that faltered his eyesight slightly and made his ears ring for a few days. Luckily he had been sleeping most of the pain off and didn't have to worry about looking at too many things. Nonstop Lukas would thank Leon and talk to him about what has actually happened, wanting the truth. "I did what I needed to. I was sent the link, I looked at the website and I didn't pass it on. I didn't think anyone would support me so I took care of the bullies myself, asking my brother for help in tracking where the website address had come from and I figured out the names and what they looked like from the online school yearbook. Today I went early, also during research that they live close to the school, and I met up with them and beat them up. They couldn't dodge me but I didn't do half the damage they did to Em, but I had to do something. I feel terrible that they went after Emil, I should've been watching him, I should've followed his every move," Leon sighed and looked down and Lukas set a gentle but shaking hand on his slim shoulders. "Anyway, I noticed that those guys had suddenly rushed to the bathroom and saw that Emil was gone from the table so I rushed for the nearest teacher, I guess you caught on and ran in there, and that's pretty much it," once he had finished, Lukas was uncharacteristically tearing up again.
Emil shifted around in his bed, groaning as his head pounded and his ears rang in his now conscious state. He tossed and turned in bed, covering his ears as he sobbed from the pain he was in.
It was about that time that the two checked on him, Lukas going over immediately and looking down at the poor boy. "Em, Emil, shhh it's okay. We need to give you medicine then you'll go right back to sleep and you won't feel the pain anymore," Emil whimpered in reply. Leon carefully helped the boy sit up as Lukas got the medicine ready, holding his mouth open and making him swallow the liquified medication. The Cantonese boy laid Emil back down and stroked some bangs away and off his sweating forehead, in a few minutes the medicine took its role and made Emil fall back to a peaceful sleep. Lukas and Leon had decided to take turns watching Emil, using old baby monitors from the Icelander's youth. Leon took first "lookout" over Emil and sat by his bed, stroking his hair and whispering soft songs in Cantonese occasionally, hoping the boy would get better quick for Emil's own good.
