"Jake, you good?" Heeseung glanced at the younger boy, amused.

"No..." Jake touched his lips. "Not good. Catch me, hyung."

He jokingly collapsed onto the couch, staring up at the ceiling with glazed eyes.

"Did you drink something?" Heeseung laughed.

"I took a drug."

"What?" Heeseung's playful tone instantly turned protective. "From where?"

"Don't worry." Jake patted his arm. "It was a good drug. The drug of love."

Jake stepped out onto the balcony, sliding the glass door shut behind himself. "Hey, Kai."

The older boy turned around, smiling. "Hi, Jake. What's up?"

"Just needed some fresh air."

Kai nodded. "Me too. Come here, look at the Han."

He waved Jake over, pointing at the sparkling river just beyond Jackson's backyard. Several idols were fooling around at the shore, chatting and skipping stones into the water.

Jake gazed at the sight. "Are we still fighting?"

"Nah. But are you going to tell me why you pretended you were bad at playing the violin?

"I'm sorry," Jake whispered. "I'm not ready to talk about it yet."

Kai nodded, closing his eyes as a light breeze ruffled his hair.

Jake studied the older boy's face. "Why do you make out with so many people?"

Kai shrugged. "It's practice."

"Practice for what?"

"The real thing. I want to be good when the right person comes along."

"I need practice too."

"You've had your first kiss, right?"

"Yeah, back in Australia. But it barely counted, and I haven't made out with anybody yet."

Kai laughed, gesturing at the sliding glass door. "Lucky for you, we're surrounded by people who are very good at practicing."

Jake stared at the ongoing party inside Jackson Wang's house. The bright flashing lights and sea of colorful bouncing hair weren't appealing.

He turned to face Kai. "Teach me?"

"Oh, uh... sure." Kai stepped closer, hesitating for only a moment before closing the gap between their lips.

A whimper of surprise escaped Jake's throat. He grabbed the balcony railing, trying to ground himself. Kai was kissing him. His heart soared as he followed the older boy's lead, desperately trying to match rhythm.

"Hey." Kai suddenly broke away. "Don't worry so much about what your lips are doing. It's all about the hands."

He gently tugged off Jake's jacket, fingertips sliding across the younger boy's skin. "If you're making out with a guy, run your hand down his chest like this."

Jake shivered at his demonstration. "Oh."

Kai tilted his head, eyes glittering humorously. "If you're making out with a girl, you can't really do that because of... anatomy. And, um, you should always ask first before touching said anatomy."
