Mystic Falls 1864

It was a cold night and Rosalie Salvatore sat on the ledge beside her window as she wrote in her journal when she heard a knock at her door
"Come in." Her voice was soft and tired and the door opened to reveal her brother, Stefan.

"Why are you near the window it's a cold night?" He asks with a smile on his face
"Really? Is it? I never noticed." She smiles at him and her brother rolls his eyes playfully
"So what are you writing about?" He asks walking to her reaching her journal.

Rosalie slaps his hand away from her journal and Stefan retracts his hand chuckling
"None of your business, you don't see me reading your journal."
"Fine, fine. I'm sorry, Rosie." He says and sits down next to her.

Her brothers call her Rosie and have since she was born because Stefan was barely 1 year old when she was born and couldn't say her name and then her brothers have called her Rosie ever since.

Rosalie was a product of an affair so she never felt like one of them so she spent all of her time in her room when there wasn't an event to go to. One time a woman name Emily Bennett went into the wrong room and came across the young girl reading a book and Emily gave the young girl a book.

But it wasn't just any book it was a book about witch craft and the young girl was so intrigued and no one ever came into her room she decided to practice. When Emily came to check on the girl she found her practicing and offered to help her while Miss Kathrine Pierce was away.

Even though Rosalie was a product of an affair her brothers still loved her dearly and were very protective of their sister.

"So, how are you?" She asks her brother pulling her knees to her chest resting her head
"I'm alright, how are you?" He asks and her lips form into a line
"As good as I can be.'' She says and then she smiles mischievously at her brother.

"How's Miss Kathrine, lover boy." She teases and laughs
"Lover boy? Is that what I'm called now, Rosie?" He asks and she nods her head
"Yes it is." She giggles and her brother chuckles with her.

"She's fine." He says blankly and she nods
"Aw what's wrong?" She asks pouting and stands up and gets a chair from her desk with a piece of paper and a pen then walks over to her bedside table and gets her glasses that she usually wears when she is tired and walked back to her brother.

"Just lay down and relax and tell me what's going on." She says pushing down so he lays on the ledge with a pillow at his head. Rosalie then sits down on the chair and looks at him,
"Go on." She encourages and Stefan sighs.

"Something has been going on with Kathrine and Damon." He says
"Oh. Was not expecting that I mean I get why Damon could be interested in her because she is absolutely gorgeous, you know? That's not helping is it." She winces as she sees Stefan's face.

"No. Not really." He says and she mutters an apology.

"So, how does the possibility of Damon and Kathrine being more than acquaintances?" She asks
"It makes me feel... wait are you writing this down?" He asks her as she looks up from her paper
"No... maybe...yes..." She sheepishly smiles.

Stefan smiles at his sister and looks at the clock in her room and sees the time and how late it is
"Well, goodnight, Rosie." He says and kisses his sisters head and walks out the room
"Goodnight." She sighs quietly and looks out her window and looks at the stars and the moon.

The man who got her mother pregnant didn't want to meet her, she had no idea of what he looked like or where he is. Her mother didn't want him to be in the girls life but when she died the redhead wondered if he maybe wanted to be in her life...apparently not. She still called Giuseppe Salvatore her father though she rarely talked to him so she rarely called him that.

As the girl looked up at the stars she heard shouting specifically her father shouting coming from Stefan's room. The female Salvatore ran to her door and opened it a tiny bit and saw men walking to her brother's room and then saw Kathrine being carried out. Then she heard her father's voice.

"Go into the room just a two doors down across and get that witch of a daughter." He orders and she heard footsteps so she opened her door quietly and ran out of her room trying to run out the back door when two men grabbed her and she screamed with tears running down her face as she was dragged outside.

She saw Kathrine getting carried to another place she could not see since it was dark and the fire was the only thing she could see then she get thrown into a dark box made a metal that knocked her out.

🥀

She woke up to the door opening and then she felt herself get dragged out of the box and saw a hill with a pile of wood and a giant wooden stake beside it with rope and a stool.

Rosalie thrashed in the men's grip which was so hard she could practically feel the bruises forming on her skin,
"I didn't do anything! I'm not a witch!" She shouts as they dragged her up the hill as the other men with torches of fire follow beside her.

They reached the top of the hill and put her on the stool as other men tied her to the stake,
"I need to say goodbye to my brothers. Please don't do this." She sobs and piles of wood are thrown at the bottom of the stake.

Once it is all done they create a path for someone...Giuseppe Salvatore, he takes a torch and she thrashes agains the ropes
"Don't. Please." She chokes as the ropes get tighter and he lights the wood and the ropes get tighter and tighter until her eyes close and she takes her last breath.
