"Why did I come here, this was a really bad idea. I hope this isn't actually haunted.." Vin said. He had prepared a lamp and bag to make things easier. He looked around once more and then entered the house. He could already feel chills on his arms. Upon entering he looked around the entry of the house. The hallway was dark and silent, it was good thing he brought a lamp. They looked around the area deciding where to go now. 'this place is really creepy.' He thought. There was only two doors so he decided to go with the one on the left. Slowly approaching one of the rooms ahead he carefully opened the door. *Creak* Hearing this sound they were slightly frightened. "Oh phew, it was nothing." He slowly entered the room, when they entered they were immediately greeted by a large amount of smoke. Loud coughs could be heard, after a few seconds the smoke cleared. Coming into view was two figures, before he could comprehend what had just happened one of the figures threw a knife at them. "What the-" Before he could say anything else he was quickly interrupted by the flying weapon. *Bang* Thankfully he managed to dodge it in time, or that could have hit him. After he steadied himself he looked up ahead before he could catch the culprit both of the figures had already disappeared. "What was that.." Vin muttered, he was both confused and scared at the time but as if he was controlled he decided to continue exploring. He decided to look around the room for things, though no one could tell what were they looking for in particular. After searching the room he could only find a notebook and a little bottle containing something inside, those were the only things he could find. The notebook was bright red with the words 'DO NOT TOUCH' plastered in large letters on top of it. Though Vin ended up ignoring the warning. Opening the book he first saw blank pages, when they got to the end they saw small letters were written on the last page. In the end it turns out that he couldn't read it, so he carefully tucked the notebook away into his bag. One of his friends might understand the contents of it so he would save it for later. Now they checked the bottle next, again weird words were plastered on it, so instead of trying to read it he decided to just check it's contents. Inside was flower petals, the strange thing was that it had a little note inside of it. They grabbed the note to read, this time it wasn't written in the weird language. The note read, 'Run while you can they're coming, I can feel it.' His only thoughts while reading this was, 'Coming? Who is coming..?' In the end he decided to stay around for a little longer, things were getting interesting and he just couldn't miss it. He carefully tucked the items he found inside his bag and began to move on to the next room.
Entering the next room you could tell it was a kitchen at first sight. Oddly enough it seems that the kitchen was spotless, not a single spec of dust was seen. This wasn't something you would expect in an abandoned house. Vin found this odd but he didn't dwell any longer, the sooner he finished the better. They began to search through the drawers first, in the end there was nothing but a few utensils. The next place to look at was the fridge, as there really wasn't anywhere else to search. Opening the fridge they immediately were welcomed by a foul smell. The smell was coming from the spoiled food in the fridge, who knows how long it's been in there. He carefully set all the rotten food aside and searched through the fridge, he ended up finding another note again. This time the note read, 'I warned you, get out while you still can.' Vin was extremely frightened now, he decided it was best he got out of here.
He began to make way to the door when all of a sudden his lamp went out. There was silence for a while then the lamp was lit again. He didn't dwell much longer and made his way to the door. What confused them was the fact the door was locked. "What...this wasn't locked when I first came here." He tried over and over but the door just wouldn't budge. So he went to the kitchen again grabbing a axe that had been placed in there. He went back to the door and began to start swinging the axe at it, though it seems not even a scratch was dealt on it. Vin became tired after a while, the door just wouldn't budge. Their only other option was the windows. The only problem was that there wasn't any windows. He spent a few minutes searching for a way out, all that did was waste their energy though. A long period of time had passed and ultimately Vin had given up. There seemed to be no way out of this hell hole. He rested for a little longer and decided to look around the other rooms for more clues. Who knows he might just find a way out.
The kitchen and living room were both cleared already. Only the bedroom, bathroom, and the library room was left. They decided to skip the bathroom as there was probably nothing there. So the bedroom and library were the only two places left to check. He decided to leave the library for last as it was bigger than the bedroom.
The bedroom was on the top floor of the house so he began to make his way up the stairs. Arriving at the bedroom he was welcomed by a strange array in the middle. The array had five candles circling it, in the middle a puddle of...something could be found. Examining it he could only come up with the conclusion it was some kind of ritual. There wasn't much they could do so they went ahead to search the room. First they checked the closet, the closet was empty only small scratches could be seen on it. Since there wasn't really anything that could help them they went ahead and skipped to the desk. The desk was filled with little red papers, he took a few and then moved on to the odd book on the desk. The book seemed to be written in the same strange language he found earlier. He decided to take a look inside the book, in it was pages filled with words. Though they were all written in the strange language again of course. He could only get a few clues from the little pictures they had in it. The first picture was the array, which he had seen earlier. The second one had a weird flower in it perhaps the bottle with petals in it would be useful. The final one contained a small little doll in it, the same array set up with petals scattered all over the doll. All of a sudden Vin began to have a headache, it went on for a round five minutes then stopped. He couldn't seem to figure out why he had a sudden headache but he decided it would be best to ignore it. He carefully tucked the the book away as it might prove useful later. They took one more look around the room making sure they didn't miss anything then set off to the library.
The library, looking around you'd realize how huge it was. There were shelves in every corner of the room, each filled to the brim with books. Something a book fanatic could only wish to be in. Though since Vin wasn't one he was slightly less exited at the sight. Looking around the room he decided to check some of the shelves, they may have a useful book here. While they were busy looking, one of the figures from earlier had appeared not too far away from him. The figure began to start drawing the strange array from earlier. Once the figure had finished it disappeared not a single clue left behind.
Once Vin had finished looking around the books he was about to go to the second side of the library. That was until he spotted the array, when he saw it he was terrified. Fear, that was all he could think about. Suddenly their headache returned, this time the pain was much more worse compared to before. He clutched his head in pain, then all of a sudden their head went blank.
When he finally woke up he found himself lying in the middle of the array. Just like the book flowers had been scattered around him. Panic, that was all they felt. No matter how many times he tried to get up he never could. It was as if a rock was on top of him. He had long given up after a while as it seems there was no way out. It was too late it seems, all of a sudden the two figures had appeared again. The two figures slowly began to approach them. He screamed in fear but of course no one could hear him. Once the figures had neared, he could only accept what was to come. Pitch black, that was all he could see. Alone and Isolated, not a single person was here. It was all dark around them, small voices began to whisper into his ears. "Help me..." "Why did you leave..." "You will be come one with us..." "This is your salvation..." "Revenge..." Over and over they whispered, Vin clutched his head hoping the voices would stop. While he was distracted the figures had returned once again, they were headed his way. One by one slowly making their way to them. Loud foot steps would be heard each time they picked up their legs. *Stomp* *Stomp* Once they had gotten close enough they began to start chanting words. Vin couldn't understand a thing, over and over the voices and chanting never stopped. It was endless, in the end he accepted his fate as he slowly began to go insane. He could no longer hold on to his sanity.
