Me and my husband lived a quiet life, there was never any major disturbances. That was until one day my husband came rushing home. A cart next to him filled with chunks of gold. I didn't believe that it was real, that was until we tested it. That day me and my husband grew to be rich, though it was also the day he changed. The beginning was when I asked to keep our small little house, the memories it held were very precious to me. Well he sold it without a second thought, I resented him for it but I tried to pass it off.

Since he sold it we now needed a new house. I thought that maybe a small one would have been better, he thought a big one was better. In the end I gave in, we purchased a big house located in the city. Things were pretty lively there, I still sometimes miss our old lives but I got used to the city.

It got lonely at times because my husband was busy building his company. Every night we never really talked, he would always head straight to bed after he got home. I started to miss the times we would always hang out. I believed that there was no choice as he was busy building the company, so I left it.

Days got longer and longer to the point that I could no longer even catch a glimpse of him. I longed to at least hug him once but whenever I tried to visit he'd always decline. The excuse 'I'm busy," heard every time. One day he finally came home to rest, I was joyed I immediately ran up to hug him. What I didn't expect was for him to brush me off... Though i was confused I didn't dwell much, as it wasn't too important.

"I made lunch for you!" I said as I brought out the food. "Thank you." Replied my husband, not in the usual tone but more distant. This increased my resent for him, 'why is he acting this way?' Since there was no proper way to ask I didn't. Over and over my husband would grow colder and colder, I could no longer tell if I still loved him or not. Maybe my father was right, this man really is scum. My love became thinner and thinner, to the point that it was no longer there. In the end after thinking about it for a while I believed it was best for the two of us to part ways. I grabbed my things and head to his office, no matter what he says my decision is final.

Arriving in I immediately notified the front desk. I then moved on to the waiting room, my husband came storming out. Why was that? Well it was because I told the secretary too let him know that I was leaving. He grabbed me and lead me to his private room, a look of anger plastered on his face. Slamming the door shut he immediately began to question me. "What do you mean, going separate ways?!" He said. "Well, I no longer love you and it's very clear you don't like me either." I responded. "W-what no!" Said my husband more rage appearing on his face. "Well if that's all i'll be going now, the divorce papers are ready. I hope we can settle this quietly." I said as I made my way to the door, he tried preventing me but I didn't stop.

It was over just like that, he reluctantly signed the papers no sigh of regret shown after the process. We then packed up and parted, if only he never founded that gold mine. Who knows we might have still been together, well it's over now...
