"Mom for the 13th time, I don't need a cat." This is stressing me out more than my work.
"Oh come on Catty! Para naman may kasama ka dito sa bahay, at hindi ka mag isa." Pangungulit ni Mommy sa akin.
"Ma? Kaya nga ako bumukod 'di ba? Kasi gusto kong mapag isa. I want to start a new chapter by myself." I said to her.
"Iba pa rin pag may pet ka." Ay ang kulit.
"I don't even know how to take care animals." I stand a point.
"Kaya nga pusa 'e. Hindi kaya maalagain yon!" Looks like we know who'll won this argument.
Of course. No other than my Mom.
"O sige basta sagot mo lahat ng needs niya. Foods, vitamins, or whatever stuff that animal needs." Panakot ko na mukhang hindi naman tatalab sa kaniya.
"Okay! I don't see any problem there." Sagot niya
I just sat again on the stool and continue to cut the carrots.
"Mga ilang buwan kasi akong mawawala. Business trip. Alam mo namang hindi talaga ako napapalagay kapag alam kong mag isa ka lang. Kaya palagi kitang binibisita dito sa bahay mo." Paliwanag niya sa akin.
She is this worried as if I'm still a teenager. Oh for kitchen's sake I am 24!
I can handle myself without one. I am so used to this because growing up, I don't even have at least one sibling.
"And a cat is a solution to that problem?" Walang gana kong tanong.
"Maybe." She answers.
This is making me more irritated.
