Chapter 2

(name) blinked before sitting up. They hadn't meant to fall asleep. They glanced at the TV; evidently, someone had found them because it was off. They yawned and stretched.

"Hiya, sleepyhead," a voice said. They looked around and saw Shoto standing in the door with Kiki. The two walked over.

"Hi baby," (name) replied. They pulled the boy into their lap and pet Kiki.

"Dad told me to wake you up," he said. "We're going to dinner with Uncle Toshi."

They nodded. "Thanks, Sho." They pressed a kiss to his cheek. He hoped off and they stood up.

(name) headed to their bedroom. They smiled when they saw their husband.

He looked up from his spot on the bed. "Finally awake?"

"Shut up." They padded over. Sitting on his lap, they sighed. "How was work?"

"Lots of paperwork," he mumbled. "But they city was mostly quiet for me. Toshi had a rough day, though." Enji pressed a kiss to their forehead.

After a few minutes of cuddling, (name) got up. They went to the bathroom and freshened up a little. Returning to the room, they put on some nicer clothes.

Enji saw them. He walked over and pulled them into a hug. "I love you." He leaned down and kissed them. "And I can't wait to split you in half tonight."

"We'll see," they said with a giggle. "I think I'm too sore from the honeymoon."

"Yuck!" Touya said from the door. The couple looked over at him. He looked disgusted at their words. "I know you're excited to be married, but Christ all mighty."

(name) rolled their eyes. They pressed a final kiss to Enji's lips. The three walked away and joined the others.

After a delicious meal, the Todorokis and Yagi Toshinori went back to the manor. The kids & (name) were relaxed, but the pros were tense. (name), however, didn't know why.

Enji felt like they were being watched during dinner. He talked with Toshi about it, and the blond agreed. They took a detour on the way home. The kids complained, but (name) only glanced at the men. Enji shook his head; they'd talk later.

When the second film ended, Shoto and Natsuo were sent to bed. Touya went to train while Fuyumi went to study. Kiki went with her. That left the adults to talk. (name) walked over to the men.

"So," they said. "What's going on?"

"We think," Toshi started, "that we were being followed." He was still frowning.

"We don't know who it could have been," Enji added. "Or if it was anyone at all."

"Love, you two are the top heroes in the country," they replied. "I doubt anyone would dare to do anything. I think you two have been overworking. You're just paranoid."

"Still, I want us to be more careful." He pulled them into a tight hug. They carded their fingers through his hair soothingly. "No guests except for Toshi. He's going to stay the night, by the way."

"That's fine." They gave him a kiss. "I'm going to bed, hon. I love you. 'Night, Toshi!"

(name) groaned when they felt the bed shift. "You're really loud. You know that?"

Enji gave a deep chuckle. "Sorry, honey." He turned them so he could see their face. "Any way I can make it up to you?"

"Kisses and cuddles?"

The man nodded, a soft smile gracing his lips. He held them close to his chest. He pressed loving kisses on their cheeks. They quickly fell back asleep. As he gazed down at them, he made a silent promise.
