“oho, you’re asking me out this time.”
she giggled, “why? did my

give you a heart attack?”≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾

AUTUMN FINALLY ARRIVED, red, orange, and yellow leaves slowly fell down from the dry branches, creating a crunchy path if you ever walked on it.
a smile decorated my lips as i wrapped a red scarf around my neck and walked out of our neighborhood that was littered with different shades of orange and red, sounds of the wind blowing a familiar tune— i’m not dreaming. autumn is really here and i’m going to make the most of it.
red. that was usually the color associated with the season of falling leaves apart from orange and yellow. the air had a crisp and sharp scent which, although unusual, was oddly comforting. i continued walking the brightly colored road which was often clear. i suppose the people got lazy and decided to have the area in front of their house scattered with dead leaves.
i was supposed to meet with mikoto today but i decided to cancel my plans with her since i wanted time for myself for once. autumn is a season i cherish dearly ever since i was a child since my mother and father would stay home for quite a while and we would end up spending time together. those were moments i wished i had the power to stop time, or at least lengthen it.
yellow. the sun was a bright yellow color but despite it shining its rays, the clouds would give shade for just a few moments. a yellow leaf fell directly in front of me, causing me to flinch in surprise. picking it up, i felt myself smile. it was a perfect yellow, maple shaped leaf. “maybe i should keep this. it’s rare after all.” i mumbled to myself, making a mental note to laminate the perfectly crafted leaf later.
before i knew it, i was in front of an antique shop. an antique shop? i’ve never come across one around this street before. if i knew such a store would be established, i would’ve visited everyday.
joyfully swinging open the door, i felt a sigh of awe escape my lips for a brief moment. antiques made of silver, copper, gold, any metal you can think of, was placed in every nook and cranny of the space. an old man was at the back of some of the tall shelves, carrying boxes containing more—of what i assume to be— antiques.
“good morning, sir!” i greeted rather enthusiastically. the old man adjusted his oval shaped string glasses and gave me a warm smile. “hello there, young lady. i’m afraid i’m still setting up the shop but do feel free to look around.” he said, setting down the box on the counter then lifting another off the floor, “holler if you need anything!” i nodded and eyed the items that were currently on display.
