I gasp as I wake up. I look around and find myself in a dense, dark, green forest. There are no signs of human civilization. No cars, no voices, no lights, just the greenery of the trees and plants.

The only thing I can do is walk and hope to find signs of humans at some point. So, that is exactly what I do. After a while, my throat begins to feel dry and I can feel the dehydration setting in. My body grows tired, but just as I start to give up, I step onto a paved road. I look around and see a car coming straight towards me. They stop before they hit me, a girl walks out, "are you okay?" I shake my head, "no. Where am I? Where is the closest town?" "You're in Alabama. Cullman is about 10 miles from here, I can take you there if you need. Did your car break down or something? Did you get into a wreck?" She asks. "Yeah, the engine started smoking and I got out. It caught fire shortly after. The explosion from my car made me hit my head against something," I lie.

She smiles, "come on. My name is Talia." I get in the passenger seat as she gets in the driver seat, "my name is Nespan." "Well, Nespan, do you have someone you can call to pick you up from town?" Talia asks. "Um, yeah, but my belongings all burned in the car, including my money and phone. Can I use your phone?" She hands me her phone, "here you go."

I type Deans number in and call it. He picks up, "who is this?" "Dean? It's Nespan," I answer. "Alright, who the hell is this? A shapeshifter? This isn't funny," he cusses. "Dean, I swear its me." "Really? Because the Nespaniel I knew didn't like nicknames. And, she died," He responds. "Well, I'm obviously not dead," I snark. "yeah, okay. bye," Dean says. "Dean Winchester, don't you hang up the pho-" I get cut off by a click. "He hung up on me," I hum in response, "thank you for letting me use your phone." "So, who is Dean? He your boyfriend?" Talia asks. "No, just an old friend," I answer.

We stay in silence for the rest of the drive to Cullman. "Hey, they have a place for people who need shelter, I can drop you off there if you want. They will provide food and shelter and everything you need," Talia offers. I nod my head, "yes, that sounds good, thank you." She nods. She drives to the shelter than pulls into the parking lot, "here you go." She offers me some money too. I decline the money, "I can't accept that. But thank you so much."

She sighs and I smile. I shut the door and walk into the shelter. They led me to a room and gave me clothes, and basic necessities and sanitary products. The room had, probably, close to 30 beds. Each bed was a twin and had blankets and a pillow. Under the beds were bags with the peoples belongings. "Here is your bed, these blankets are for you. There is a bag under the bed for any of your belongings. You don't have to make the bed, but we highly encourage it. Breakfast is offered from 7:30 am to 11 am. Dinner is offered from 5pm to 9pm. There is always lunch in the cafeteria, mostly sandwiches and salads, and drinks." The lady who led me to the room informs me. I smile, "thank you." She bows her head slightly, "if you need anything, don't be scared to ask."

She walks away and I sit on the bed. I put everything into the bag under the bed, but the clothes, towel, and soap they gave me, and find my way to the bath room. It had 10 stalls, 12 sinks, and 8 showers. I find an empty shower and turn on the water. The water warms up quickly and I get in. As the water hit my body, it turned brown from the muck on my body from the forest. I wash my hair and body then wrap the towel around me.

I grab the clothes from the pile I put them in on the floor. I dry off then change into them. It was a white shirt, and some black sweatpants. They also had a bunch of other clothes available at the front, but you can only have three of each item of clothing at a time. I take my soap, towel, and dirty clothes back to my bed and put them under the bed.

I get up and find my way to the cafeteria. Once I get there, I grab a water and chug it. My thirst is now quenched, but my stomach is still empty. I get a plate of food from the Cafeteria, it was dinner. I sit down after getting the plate and examine the food. There is spaghetti, corn, and mashed potatoes. I pick at it with a fork and mumble, "weird ass combo." I eat it anyways. Once I'm done, I go up to the front. "Yes, how can I help you? Do you need something?" A nice girl asks, she looks around 19. "What is the date?" I ask. "August 18," she answers. "Um, the year?" She looks at me like I'm crazy. "Humor me," I smile. She answers, "2014."
