My class, 7B, had Mrs Giovanni as our English teacher.
Mrs Giovanni liked to test us on our spelling.
I was horrible at spelling. My essay constantly came back with heaps of spelling errors.
Mrs Giovanni broke the class into groups. She had this system of giving each group 20 to 60 points for spelling.
I often brought the group anywhere from 20 to 25 points.
If I got anymore than that, there were 2 possibilities:
1. The word was something I saw multiple times.
2. Raelynn helped me with that word the previous night. There are some classmates that are extremely understanding. They let me take my time to figure out the spelling of the word.
However, not my entire class is like that.
"Look at that- she's such a dud in this class." I can hear my classmates whisper to one another as I try to remember the spelling.
Slowly but surely, I lost confidence.
